room cold, fan on, goose down pillow, laying on my back. I sleep on my back and I don't move. My mom flipped my mattress over a few years back because I had the form of my body in it. lol. I'll listen to my ipod to get me tired if I'm not
Dude, testosterone much? I called you a noob jokingly. After the first few sentences I realized you were being serious. I didn't read the rest, don't need your opinions of who you think I am and generally do not feel like arguing with you. So yeah...
Given what I've seen in some of the other threads, you could probably sell that mattress on Clutchfans for a pretty penny.
The only thing missing from this post was the word punk, for emphasis: "Turn off your contraptions, learn to be alone with dignity, and get off my damn lawn, punk!"
I'm a chronic insomniac. I only fall asleep with Ambien or from complete exhaustion after being up all night the night before. Then once I get to sleep, I wake up during the night and/or toss and turn to such an extent that I usually wake up with my sheets in knots and my pillows on the floor. I wake up with my bed always looking like there was a struggle in it. I'm super-jealous of people who can fall asleep easily. You bastards have no idea what it's like.
LOL @Deckard. I disagree, I had different sleep habits in childhood so I don't think they become permanent as an adult. Now, it's working out an hour before bedtime (depends on work), taking a hot shower, then reading in bed. The fan has to be on for the white noise and slight breeze, and I usually pass out within 10 minutes and sleep on my back. Some nights, I listen to soothing music wearing headphones, other nights, I just sleep without reading or music.
not a bad idea, I'd like to upgrade. it's a queen... any takers? nah. I'll put it on some more chill or slower music- female artists from the 90s- like jewel or joan osborne, alternative rock from the 90s, or Chevelle or 10 years. random question- did anyone here ever own a waterbed?
I need a fan blowing on me at all times. I also need plenty of leg room to toss and turn. So, I'm in between a tuck and a no tuck in that regard...a loose tuck. If my feet feel pinned down in a tight tuck, then no way I am going to sleep. I've got one of these newer fans that isn't the traditional bladed fan. Those things make some weird freaking noises out of nowhere in the middle of the night. So, I have to turn down the tower fan and oscillate it to find a position that is not making noise. I usually end up bouncing the fan wind off the wall and back onto me. Then, I've got to have green lasers bouncing off mirrors and a smoke machine going so I feel like I'm sleeping in a really cool tomb like I'm dead.
I generally can sleep anywhere, in any way. When I go to bed, it's dark, and there's no real noise, and I sleep great. But sometimes, I'll fall asleep on the couch watching the news just as easily. If I drink to much caffeine to late, I still go to sleep fine, but I don't rest as much, but that's my only sleep issue.
I'll leave the tv on low volume. It hasn't worked so well lately, so I've been reading a comic book too.
I need the sound from my fan, a little bit of light, and I usually just watch random Youtube videos on my phone till I fall asleep.
i can pretty much sleep anywhere. I prefer to have a blanket, sheet or even jacket to cover me...but other then that, it doesn't much matter whether it's a dark, quiet room on a temperpedic bed, or in a tent on a rocky surface with streetlights shining and traffic going by....
