I'm not talking about espn. i'm talking about the posters here in the GARM. for a lot of people, tmac can do no wrong. if he misses a lot, its b/c his teammates cant score so he has to. if his teammates play well, it must be b/c he facilitates. even if he just passes the ball early in the shot clock and starts walking towards halfcourt, people say that he's allowing the other rockets to get into the flow of the offense.

even now, you're saying that yao's fg % is better b/c the ball is swinging better around him. and we all know who starts the swinging.

its like no matter what, for every praise a rocket earns, some of it will get siphoned off and be given to tmac.

so yeah, if people are going to give him the lion's share of the credit, he deserves the same amount of the blame.

Are you kidding me? Yao gets as much credit, if not more than TMac on this board. And that's fine. This is Yao's team now IMO.

But we have to have both play well to win, and it seems like YOF's go out of there way to always rip TMac, which causes arguments when he is defended and the same goes for when TOF's rip Yao. But make no mistake, there are a LOT more YOF's than TOF's on this board...and their constant threads ripping McGrady are the reason why you see so many people defending him.

    no, i'm not kidding you.

look how many tmac threads there are compared to yao threads.

there may be more YOF than TOF, but the TOF are far more vocal. the number of excuses TOF have is ridiculous.

I read in an earlier post that the reason tmac seems to be coasting through games is that he wants to rest for the playoffs.

dont get me wrong...i think he's been playing well in the system. but its one thing to say that he contributes to the win (which he clearly is) and its another thing to say that he's the reason for the win when he clearly isnt.

My point was that the majority of the arguments happen in threads that are started about T-Mac and rip him. Look at the last week and count how many threads are started to criticize TMac and then compare that to the number that are started to criticize Yao.

The TOF's (or people that just disagree with some of the exaggerated criticisms like myself) post in the thread defending his play or the impact he may have had on the team's success or failure. Because there are not tons of threads started just to rip Yao, you don't see a bunch of people being as vocal. Believe me, every thread that does rip Yao gets a lot of replies from vocal YOF's (or poeple that just disagree with some of the exaggerated criticisms like myself)

I would say that the majority people here like Yao more than Tracy, which makes sense. I like Yao better as well, but I also like TMac and think he isn't nearly as bad as most people like to say.
