Even I've been scared when I attended a few Raiders Games, even the white people there are like tough biker dude types. Everyone carries a knife, Darth Vader has that lightsaber, its no place for women and children or Broncos fans.
I actually believe he started in with a cracker comment, and my friends said that "you don't have to take that from him, call him a N**ga!". boys will be boys. Guess i wasnt raised in a buddhist sanctuary li
Now how many of those are actually censored on Clutchfans forums, TV and other media outlets? The N word is censored almost everywhere, but it seems people get away with saying other stuff all the time. Especially about white people and asians.
Use it for talking to close friends... For random strangers? Not a good idea to randomly says what's up Nigguh, etc...
Fight? Why would I fight someone over words? You can call me anything you want, and I will not fight you. I'm too old to fight, and fighting is stupid for anyone of any age. People sometimes die because of fighting. People go to prison because of fighting. I've got better things to do than fighting someone because they called me a name. I don't like the N word, and I do not use it.
It depends how it is used. Generally if it ends with "A" it isn't racist, and if it ends with "ER" you better watch your back. I personally would get in a fight over a racial slur if someone was going to target me and say it in my face. But most people aren't blatant racists and will be cordial to your face but think racist things behind your back.
My thoughts on it. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/uqwj--wGEgY&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/uqwj--wGEgY&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Uh, no. I've heard the "N word" a lot more often than any epithet you can think of for Asians or white people. Someone in my family (not immediate) drives me crazy. Him: blah blah blah N-word joke. Me: Not funny. Just don't do that **** around me. Don't crap on my floor, and don't throw those jokes around. Simple rules in my house. Him: But they can call me honkey! How's that fair? Me: Two things, and listen carefully. One, when is the last time you were called "honkey" by ANYBODY on this planet? Two, remind me how our ancestors were hung from trees with "honkey" carved in their chests, m'kay? Him: ... He has stopped. By the way, what RR posted totally made sense to me.
Here's another view on that: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2MnmmDiQSdA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2MnmmDiQSdA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
I actually use this word all the time when talkin to my close friends. "Damn, nig wassup" "Why you late, nig" I usually just say "nig" but 10+ yrs later ... it still slip out of my mouth when talking to them. Of course I dont say it out loud in public, or to others.
That guy has some major hangups. I think he fails to realize that words change, and this one is changing pretty damned rapidly.
Your opinion? It is one I share. Words are free, but alot of free stuff is sh!tty. Mind yourself folks.
He may have hang ups, but in this clip I think he speaks the truth. As someone over 35, I think there is a very real possibilty that younger people, of all races, will not know the true historical weight of this term. Now it's great to not necessarily have to face the dirt and pain of the past everyday, but dangerous to be ignorant of it. And dangerous to just be regular 'ol ignorant. Also what is Lemur Bay ? Sounds like a new casino in Lake Charles
Sounds like that's just your family. Want a media example? Go watch that movie Crash. Count how many White and Asian racial slurs Ludacris and the chopshop owner use. Then count how many non-blacks use the N word in that movie. And of course what RR posted makes sense. That's common sense.
