I have a friend who will follow Lebron to whatever team he goes to , i think there are plenty of "Lebron only fans" in the world though. Similarly a person likes Oswalt but he went to Phillies , now he is a Phillies fan . I gotta admit i have liked a certain team due to a certain player before , but majority of my life i always liked the team more than a certain player.
I've always stuck with teams, have had the same ones since I was a kids, Houston Rockets and Chicago Bears. Players only fans, irk me but to each their own.
I can care less.. they can be the fans of players balls for all I care.. and I'm not talking about the one's the player plays with.. or am I?
Have to wait and see how it plays out, think the WR corp is actually decent even if they are no name players outside of Hester. Forte should rack up some great numbers catching this year in this offense. Cutler, well it can't get worse than last year INT wise, so he'll be much better regardless.
Tough division , for sure we will see how the Bears will do with Packers and Vikings . Even Lions are improving slowly by adding talent.
Yep but even last year there were a handful of games they gave away with stupid INTs, think their record last year was very deceptive. If it goes south again this year though new regime will be brought in that's for sure.
Player Only Fans = Groupies I never understood the concept of player only fans. I would think they would get bored only rooting for a couple people.
^ This. Always been a Rockets and Chargers fan. Not a LT and T-Mac fan (not comparing them in any way shape or form). Now do I still like those players? Yes.
I root for players i have some attachment with to succeed individually. but if they don't have Houston on their uniforms, I'd rather have that team lose.
i suppose i could relate if i lived in a city without pro sports teams. but i can't imagine being a player only fan if i had a team in my city to root for. i am interested in following premier league soccer...i may need to be a Stuart Holden only fan simply because of his Houston connection.
i don't think that makes you a player only fan, then. if you were rooting for the cardinals simply because of pujols, that might. i'm a lincecum fan, but no way i'm rooting for him to beat the 'stros.
