I brought Subway to work a couple of times and two fellow female co-workers let me have it over the onions and the smell they give off. I don't get onions on my Subway subs anymore. I usually get roasted chicken breast on wheat with provolone cheese, a little bit of lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, black olives, and lite mayo. They never listen or understand when I say a little bit of lettuce. They also are stingy as hell with the amount of olives they put on a footlong. I usually have to ask them once or twice to put more black olives on my sandwich, which makes me feel a little awkward, but whatever it's only $5.
Definitely true on both counts. I was lucky enough that I was in walking distance of one for awhile, and could definitely be considered a "regular." All the employees knew me, so unbelievably, they eventually started getting these things right for me. But then I moved, and I'm not that close to a Subway anymore... and whenever I DO go, they never get this stuff right. I usually go with Tuna, Provolone, Mustard, Salt+Pepper, and all the veggies except cucumbers and spinach.
Italian BMT on 7 grain honey oat Lettuce Tomato Green pepper Black olives Jalapenos Chipotle southwest sauce Hmmmmm sooo delicious Oh ya, toasted ofcourse.
I like Subway and you can't beat the footlongs for $5, but recently I started eating my sandwiches from the GreatWraps chain. They are now by far my favorite sandwich place you can get any wrap on regular bread if you don't want the flat breat or wrap tortilla. The buffalo chicken wrap is good enough to make you slap your momma Price wise its not as cheap as Subway but you still get a 7 inch sandwich and fries or chips for about $8.
I have the same problem with asking for a little bit of condiment (mustard or mayo). No matter how much I emphasize "little", and I have tried in every way imaginable, they always put on too much. Now I just don't get any sauce at all.
Wheat Bread Chicken Bacon American Chesse ^Toasted Mayo Honey mustard Lettuce Pickles Salt and Pepper Ranch
last week I got the Chicken/Bacon/Ranch it was good, then realized that I can make about 10 foot longs for $5 on my own, so thats what i did, bought chicken breast for $2-3, bacon for $1.50, already had ranch, and picked the bread of my choice at the HEB bakery for about $6 total, and just made it myself and brought it on my lunch throughout the week. never was a fan of sandwich places, if there is a good deal, I'd go, but just like with some people with pasta places, I usually can make one just as good if not better.
