From the sound of this, apparently you. I'd much rather go to the lottery than get the 8 seed and get blowed out in the first round.
Wade and Bosh are both fragile as can be. They are always getting hurt. I don't think this team is built for sequential championship runs. They will never have much of a bench, because too much money is in the big three. So the big three have to stay healthy in order for them to win it all. With 2 of the big 3 being injury prone I can't see them sustaining championship runs year after year as the dynasties of the past.
How do the Rockets beat the Heat? We won't. At the rate we're going, I'll be shocked if we're out of that 12-18 pick range in the next three years. Facing the Heat in the Finals won't be an issue.
According to clutchfans you take Battoer out of the game and they are done. Obviously last years Finals appearance means Battier was necessary to this team winning.
David Thorpe was asked this very question on the NBA Today podcast, he said something to the effect of, "the only way to challenge the Heat is to load up at the 1 and 5 positions, because the salary cap will limit what the Heat can do to improve in those areas. D-Will and Dwight have to be thinking the Heat will be dominant for at least the next five years and the only way to have a chance at a ring is to team up somewhere."
