How do you deal when your significant other gets checked out a lot in public?

If you have a son and he asks why he should practice an instrument when his friends are playing videogames, assure him when he gets middle-aged and his friends are still playing videogames, he'll be able to screw all their grateful, miserable girlfriends and wives.

 

When I was married, this happened a lot and it used to give me a somewhat perverse thrill because like others said, I took it as a compliment. Now most of the time, the girl or woman might not like it but I have never heard of a guy freaking out over some other guy checking out his girl. I guess if you are insecure about losing her, then I can see why it would bother you but I don't understand why it would be a problem to you to be honest.

Never bothered me with any chicks. Except once when I was younger, playing pool with a GF, and some dude was checking out her rack as she leaned over to shoot. No huge biggie. Then I saw him poke his friend to look and I yelled at him across the place in front of everyone. They got embarrassed and left.

Find that boundary and be ready to handle the situation with composure when it's crossed. Making someone look like a b**** seems better to me than trying to fight someone. Lots of easy, clever and borderline fun things to say to someone that's gawking.

But for real...this speaks to your personal insecurities as a person if you are self-conscious about how your girl is being ogled in public. Before you met her...she was most likely sought after. What makes you think, after you lock her down, other men wont do the same? You cant change her looks...or what she wears.

It's funny....my wife is a blend of three races and, like many Brazilian women, looks Indian. Hell, she looks so Indian that an Asian missionary approached her in the São Paulo airport, probably looking for "another Asian" for home-cooked conversation.

The guys who look at her brazenly are the brothers. White guys? If they're looking, they're subtle about it. The brothers will look at her almost as if I'm not standing there. Just have to shrug it off.
