If Lowry is traded and all we get is Gasol, I'm done.

Man that is worst that what we have now. Who is going to get the ball to Gasol? Dragic can make a fancy pass, but he's not a true setup pg. Not to mention our bench takes a nose dive.

Hopefully Dwight moves a few hours before the deadline so morey has time to make multiple transactions. Last year grizzlies tried to make some late moves but they were past the deadline and voided. If Dwight isn't moved it'll be interesting which teams start trading first. Time is of the essence.

Again, if a 3way trade happens with DWill, KLow & Dragon being involved; LA won't be getting Drago!

With the Gasol for KLow & Scola +, we won't make the playoffs this year. Next year we bring over DMo & LLull. Our line up looks like:

    Dragon/Llull
    KMart/Lee
    Parsons/Morris
    Gasol/PatPat
    Dally/DMo

We also have our draft picks, which look better since we're a lotto team this year. Our 09er's will either expire or be involved the trade or another trade.

Rudy T. was on 610 recently. He talked up Scola and Lowry. Mispronounced Lowry so badly (I can't remember how, but I nearly crashed my car) I thought, Yep; still a meathead. But I match his enthusiasm for the kid.

"Unlike many people on this board"

This says all for this thread.

We need another Kobe to build around Gasol for a good team or Morey really wants to tank to get a high pick.

Good point, Gasol won the chip with Bynum & Kobe next to him, a top 3 center, and a top 3 guard, not to mention he was younger. They also had Odom on the bench.

Gasol on this team without Lowry & another star = wtf?

I would rather go for a Kaman trade than for Gasol. It would be much cheaper.

Gotta trust Morey here, most of his moves have looked questionable at first and then looked like steals later. Right now this move looks very questionable but, this may not even be the move he's looking for. Either way, I'm gonna give it time before I get really upset about losing a player we like.

I don't put a lot of stock in these Gasol rumors.

But I'd love to get Ilyasova.

You don't build around a guy like Gasol. He's a second banana, not to mention his age. You should build him around some alpha dog star.

Iliasova makes a ton of sense here. I think there are a number of playoff teams that are zeroing in on what it would take to pull him away from Milwaukee in the next 9 days.

A lot of good players. Gasol is a very skilled big men, but finesse ala a Yao Ming. You need guys who can space the floor, knock down shots, and some "bangers" to protect Gasol.

If we lived in an ideal world, we get Gasol without trading any of our players. We would be legit contenders. With the team we have now, we're only a great big man away from contention :(

    Ilyasova is a fantasy beast

The dude puts up 10-10 pretty consistently

Ilyasova is a good young player but not a superstar, nor will he be a superstar unless he learns to get to the FT line a whole lot more than he does now.

I would love to get one of Ilyasova or Pekovic without giving up the farm for Gasol. (Both would be better! I'm greedy... jk, mostly)

He's not even a goto guy. He gets almost all of his points on putbacks, fastbreaks and open threes. If they ever designed any plays specifically for him getting to the free throw line could occur more frequesntly. They all real plays Skiles seems to run involve Jennings Bogut and Gooden.

Bring over Sergio immediately if this happens. Bad trade either way, a player past his prime making big dough coming to a team with no certain direction for a young player on a great contract who is durable and has all-star potential..smh
