I remember when harden first went to the nets, I thought it was pretty common sense KD was their best player. Was told otherwise and that “hardens the best offensive player of all time!!!” (Just not in critical points post season of course )

underrate KD or overrate harden as usual? Either way Durant needs to get the respect he deserves

    Playmaking

    KD's a better defender

KD's a better scorer in a pinch, but Harden isn't far behind him. Harden will give you equal production over a season, but in a single moment, you usually would go with KD.

Suddenly everyone forgets that Harden has one good hammy.

Nets player who deserves the most slander this series, is Joe Harris tbh.

Durant is the best offensive player ever. Harden isn’t better than Durant. Period

I know you are posting this just because of tonight's game, so I really hope you know
Harden was clearly on sacrifice like for the last 10 games.

Harden is obviously a better OVERALL offensive player than KD due to playmaking. He’s also my favorite player in the league.

No way in hell I think Harden is doing what KD did in a game 7 tonight

So what has KD ever won without Curry, Thompson and Green?

KD may be the best scorer ever, when you discuss offense as a whole you have to take into account playmaking. At that point, you have to think about Lebron, Oscar, Magic, Jordan, Harden, Curry etc

F that! Kyrie just needs to retire! If Harden can play with 1 leg Kyrie should have done something. No bench points? Ya...

Harden is better at driving the offense, but KD is the premier go to scorer in the game. When the score is tight and nothing is coming easy from the defense, KD is probably the more valuable offensive player.

You are correct that Harden is often a more complete playmaker/offensive mind. But all those other guys had major clutch playoff moments or got to the finish line.

As much as it stinks, Harden will not be considered on that level until he does that too.

Harden is the greatest offensive generator of all time. KD is the greatest offensive scorer in this era.

You can’t be the greatest offensive generator of all time when you shoot as poorly as he does and turn the ball over at the extremely high clip he does.

I like car analogies. Harden is a low gear tow truck. He will pull your team up the hill, but he has no higher gear if he needs to keep up with muscle cars. Time and time again he falls in love with a bad 3 ball or passes up shots, and stops generating fouls in the clutch. He only plays at one speed.

You build a team from scratch with a player like Harden... You compete for chips , if the team is built decently, with a player like Durant.. Both are great but I'd take Durant any day of the week if there's capable players on the team..

Why do people like to compare players that play completely different positions? Durant at SF/PF has a length advantage to shoot over most players. Harden uses his quickness and ability to create space while shooting. Both are great players at their respective positions. Absolutely no reason to compare.
