2 pages and no SWOLY-D? Blasphemy! I DON'T CHARGE MUCH But, seriously, folks... Here's what I did for FRENCH... at the local Harris County or CITY library, they have CDs with "common" phrases you can check out . You can get started with these for FREE. I say you have many options, and I will give you the ones I think are the best ways first: 1) hang out with people who speak NOTHING BUT SPANISH and are nice enough to tell you what they're saying. You'll get laughed at, you'll laugh with them, you'll be talked about behind your back, but as you hear them talk, you will learn many words. 2) "Buy/acquire" the software these dudes are suggesting. 3) Watch Mexican soaps and news on Univision and Telemundo, not comedy shows. Turn on CC3 on Telemundo, they do English. 4) Hire ME. Don't worry about how to spell the words, how to write an essay in Spanish. As long as you say it right to the right people, you'll be allright. Cool?
I'm learning spanish right now, and I suggest to you that going to a country, even for a holiday, that speaks just Spanish will do for you. Best not countries that are multilingual, where people speak English and Spanish, because you can be tempted to speak english to the people and not Spanish. At least it's easier than French.
