Can someone please make a final, end all online game viewing questions topic? There are so many people who wonder this and it would be nice if there was one stickied thread which had all the information in a FAQ-like manner for the newbies and people who don't know the online streaming methods available. Everyone could also selectively contribute to the thread with the latest methods and updates for viewing games online and it would be a great resource for everyone. What do you guys think?
This might influence the choice you choose for TV. Dish Network has most of the Rox games on their sports networks without subscribing to League Pass. You need to subscribe to one of their packages like Dish 180 to get them. They move the channels around but you can find the Rox games on Fox SW, one of their alt channels or if the game is in Seattle like Fox NW.
Does anyone in Austin have a hangout to watch the games? Wouldn't mind having some new rockets blood to view with when my girl as at school.
Thanks. I will give it a try. This won't cause trouble, right? I mean I don't want my IP on a blacklist somewhere. I got the LP last year and that is the only reason I got a cable TV service. This season I will have even less time to watch tv due to various reasons. It is not worth paying $500+ any more. So my choice is between installing a slingbox at my sister's in Hoston (her broadband connection is not good) or stremvideo service like this. Which do you reckon will have better video quality?
They are all on tv. (if you have cable etc...) Ch.51 (houston) games are on Ch.20 on Cox Cable. ANd the rest are on FSSN.
You can get the games for free if you make friends with someone who has a tuner card and ORB. http://www.orb.com Or get someone in the Houston area to get slingbox (you pay for the box) and they can hook you up with the games.
I have been using streamtv for the past 2 years. No complaints whatsoever from me. Quality is great sometimes, but overall I can see room for improvements. It just depends who decides to stream the game that day. Money shouldnt be a factor. I like to pay for service, and would be willing to pay up to 20 dollars a month to watch Rockets games. You can also watch Texans games too!
Isn't this an organized service? Otherwise to whom the service fee is made to? I agree their monthly charge is next to free. Is their video quality comparable to R2K's clips?
I'm having a hell of a time finding the channel listings for Cox online. FSSN: Fox Sports Network? Are both channels just part of basic cable? Thanks for any info Uprising. When I called the companies last year, they just tried to get me to buy the biggest package available and provided me with almost no information on what I really wanted - Rockets games. (I think they were out of state and just guessing).
