    Kind of cute story.

It was 1984, Chicago and I was but a wee 3 yrs old. My parent being young and latin frequented tons of get togethers and parties. So one night I'm at a party with them and I tug my dads pants and tell him I'm ready to leave. He taps me on the head and tells me to go tell my mom. I tug on her dress and she sends me to my father to hurry him up. After a few minutes of back and forth they finally decide to leave only I'm nowhere to be found. Some searching ensues and I'm discovered outside on the corner trying to hail a cab with two records underneath my arm.

The next day my dad takes me to the local record store and buys me the vinyl I was trying to swipe at the party. A 45 of Purple Rain by Prince (it was purpel vinyl) and New Orders Blue Monday (floppy disk 12").

I had taste from the begining.

Like a lot of people my age, it was because of KISS. Still remember getting Double Platinum for my birthday and playing it non-stop for weeks after that.

In 1979, my whole life revolved around:

    1. KISS
    2. Star Wars
    3. Earl Campbell

It was a great time to be a 9-year old. :)

Step Brother showed me the Smashing Pumpkins.

    Rest was history.
