For you SOR people... Only reason I keep this broken piece of a tool box in my shop is for the bumper stickers...
Nice. I wish the site was still around. I tried to find renderings of the original arena design on the internet a couple years ago but had no luck. It was going to be built in between George R Brown and MMP but was voted down in 99. No dice.
Site that Jeff and Clutch created before Toyota Center was approved to be built and there was some worry that the Rockets might leave town without a new arena. I found Clutchfans around draft time in 2000, searching the net for some NBA draft news. I ventured through the ESPN message boards, saw a reference to Clutchcity.net, and the rest was history. I registered a few months later.
I found clutchfans at 16 after the ESPN Rockets forum started to get overrun by chinese yao only fans. Disgusted, I began to search for a new forum. I have been a member here 2x now. Banned because I argued with FFB AND with RC Cola over the PS3, said things I shouldnt have and was quickly dispatched. Lurked for over a year then returned a few months back.
I had been attempting to get ripped over a period of 5 weeks, but I knew there just had to be a better way ENTER CLUTCHFANS
I honestly don't even remember. It was about 3 years ago, I think I googled something about the Rockets and Clutcfans came up.
There was a disturbance in the internets...turned out it was the GARM after a Rockets loss/win/trade/all the time?
lol you wish you get as much asian candy as i do . i'm a diehard rocket fan that post a ton (iphone is a great tool  ).
I was sitting in Political Science at UH when this kid next to me pulled up the BBS. It caught my attention and I've been hooked since.
I found it in college sometime around 97 or 98 and read it daily. I still remember how pissed off I was on a certain April 1st when I thought the site had been converted into a Spurs site, remember being pissed off all day at school, silly me! Joined the new forum once I got out of college and got settled and now it's a staple of my daily workday.
The Youtube Clutchfans Page. They had all the game highlights, i decide to check out their website, and Boom here i am 1 yr later
Wow, I cant believe it's been almost 8 years. I really cant remember. Maybe my brother turned me on to the site.
surfin the web.. back when it was ClutchCity.com , there was also a section in the forum of save the rockets. Good old days. I had a user name back in 1999 and signed up prior to rumors of scottie pippen coming to town but lost my pw and username so had to get a new one after some sort of problem at the time? Can't remember.. loved all the april fool jokes as well... I don't post much but i let one of my friend post like crazy under my name.. not anymore .. awesome site CLUTCH!
I've always been a draft fiend and since the Rockets had two Round One picks in the 2000 draft, I was looking for info about the draft and some of the players they were interested in... VOILA!!
I go back as far as clutchcity.com days and I'm sure I was surfing the net in Atlanta dying for Rockets news.
