Then you obviously never watched the Rockets when KT was on the team.

KT gave 110% on every play. You can never accuse KT of not hustling....period.

Kenny brought a lot of engery to the team. I think we really were forced to trade him. We couldn't keep 3 PF's. Mo Taylor was making too much to sit on the bench, and Eddie is young and the coaches wanted to see what he could do.

i never said KT never hustled! KT is a soldier in the paint! ive seen him defend such big names as shaq, duncan... the list goes on.. i would even like to see him play with yao instead of EG but POSEY brings that versatility, that defense first attitude, that hustle til your lungs collapse attitude that really goes with the team so well.

KT brought just as much hustle as Posey. And you want versitility? Then fine. What other player in the game has been asked to start against the likes of Shaq (which KT has done) KG, Duncan, Wallace and then told to lose some weight so he could start against the likes Peja, Dirk and Rashard Lewis?

He wasn't told to lose weight. He lost weight hoping to grab some minutes at SF. Don't twist it. Sure, he was a bit chubby, but when he lost all the weight, he pretty much lost the ability to play PF in the West, and that's obvious. He can pull it off in the East, but he can NEVER EVER be the starting PF on a Western Conference contender.

Kenny Thomas is a proffesional? Obviously, you didn't hear him cussing at the whole Rockets organization the way one of the posters here reported it a few months ago.

Despite all this, it was the only way to go. EG had/has potential, and MoT was untradeable. You can't have 3 PF's. We needed an occasional backup 2, and a backup 3 in case Rice went down. What we turned out with was a SOLID player, who gave the team a great fastbreak presence instantly, hustles as much as, if not more than, KT, and also plays great D. Aside from that, his shot improved tremendously over the second half of the season, and it only showed that he had been working on it since his FORM improved, not just his luck.

Don't make this out to be a mistake. The Rockets would make that trade again and again and again and again. They don't regret it AT ALL.

Your comment has no basis in reality. Having Kenny Thomas on the court would have meant one of two things - he was at PF and Glen Rice (a flat out defensive liability) was on the court with him or he was at SF, standing on the 3 pt line and being abused by the quicker and/or better WC players who get SF minutes - Marion, Peja, Hedo, Bowen, Nowitski, Finley, KG, Harpring, Pippen, Wells, etc.

Do you want me to believe that KT + Rice or TMO > Posey + EG or MoT? I don't buy it.

Regarding keeping Posey. IMO, 24 of the 28 other NBA teams only have the MLE to offer Posey. The 4 under the cap teams that could make it a bidding war:
    DEN - yeah, right.
SAS - to backup Bowen? JP would love that.
UTAH - to backup Harpring? And leave HOU for SLC? Maybe JP got hooked on skiing in his time in Denver...
LAC - Does this make any sense to anyone?

Like someone mentioned earlier - a win-win for the Rox, Sixers, JP and KT.
