well, i no longer hate them. definitely respect them, and i think they may be the best/smartest organization in sports. i think they are a good bet to go to finals again. i have no idea what, but i could see them making an unexpected trade to get over the hump, especially since they flamed out with pretty much the same roster last year. duncan is squeezing out all he has, and the organization may feel indebted to him to go for one last run.
Spurs fans are pretty humble. They're the least cockiest out of our rivals. I'll always have respect for them unlike Utah and Dallas.
Hated Spurms when Bruce was out injuring everyone. Duncan is the most boring person to watch, the hell with his fundamentals. Ginobili is also an easy player to hate. Parker had a hot wife.
Wait till the playoffs, man. Will they fold again during the playoffs? I'm a Rockets fan so any team in our way, I don't like. Heck, I don't even like Lin for taking too much attention from players who have struggled and waited patiently for so many years for the chance to play. I hope the media attention on Lin dies out soon.
fold again during the playoffs? did you not follow basketball before 2009? they have 4 of the past 12 championships.
I don't despise them as much as I might despise the Jazz or Mavs, but they're still the enemy. That's how I can not be a fan.
It starts with Bruce Bowen and ends with flopping. Those are both themes of the past, thankfully, though Manu/Parker/Duncan still get way too many 'benefit-of-the-doubt' calls. That's a complaint I have against basketball in general, though. Also generally speaking, San Antonian fans tend to be more homer and less league-knowledgable than the average fan from my experience. It's annoying.
easy- they in the west they in our division they are in texas they are in that craphole san antonio they have ginobli who i hate
I freakin hate the Spurs. I was out with this chick, and when she said she was a Spurs fan, I had to walk out on her. I hate that stinkin team.
Its a lockout season. We all know what is going to happen. Knicks get in as an 8th seed. Beat Heat in the first round on their way to the finals. Spurs sweep them. If that happens.....
I hate the Spurs. But I think Spurs - Thunder for the WCF this season. The Spurs are rejuvenated with the youth of Splitter, Green, and Leonard; yet they still have all the right veterans to build around and a terrific system. They COULD have one or two more runs at a Chipper with Duncan.
This is one of the reasons. All they did was luck into Duncan. Had that not happened, Pop could very well still be an assistant like Elston Turner.
