We do have to beat the Colts eventually, but right now I am much more concerned with taking care of business against the Falcons and the Dolphins. We just aren't good enough to beat a 2nd tier team without our best game, especially when we are banged up. To stay on topic. I think a healthy Texans team has a better than even chance of beating the Colts at Reliant. They still are at least a touchdown better at their house, but we can hope for a miracle in the rematch.
I did this in a Colts pre-game thread, because someone asked what Colts fans thought of our team. So I thought it would be nice to see what the Colts fans thought of the game Sunday. This seems to be the most appropriate thread to post it under. BTW this is all from the official Colts fan forum. Apologies for the longness of this. Just know, for every quote I had to copy and paste each one.... geez... hehehe pfft. enjoy. "Thanks for a good game. Good luck. The Texans are definitely moving in the right direction!" "What I find so refreshing about the Texans' fans is that they come here not to make excuses or talk smack, but are good sports (both before AND after the game). Kudos to you guys and its nice to see your team doing well (but, and I'm sorry to say, not against the Colts." "Yep, they make the Titans trolls look even worse. Good luck rest of season Texans." "Colts offense looked sharp today, and deserved the win. Texans made them earn it, though, and I'm proud of them for that. It's been fun talking to you guys this week. I hope when our teams meet again the game will be as meaningful as this one. Don't pencil that in as a win just yet." "Your right the Texan's made us work for it alright. Good game and I hope your injured get healthy really quick. It's been a fun week because your fan's (most of them) have class. Until we meet again." "Great game Texans. You guys should be proud of youre team, you will do well this year. " "Thanks... y'all are a classy fan-base, just as the Panthers board said. Good winners and good losers. Thanks for a good game." "Good job Texan fans! Your team really gave us a run for our money. One of those games that could of gone either way near the end, forcing the defending champs to really work for it. I felt bad for all the injuries the texans were induring and hope they can all return healthy. Also whats going on with that killings guy? Hope he's alright. "Rough physical game thats for sure" "Good luck for the rest of the season y'all. I enjoy having a competitive division (as long as we win it ) but it's good to see you guys heading on the right track and boy it would appear I was very wrong about Schaub! I'm hoping Carr gets to play in Carolina so I can call that one right at least (I said he'd do great out there)" "Texans are greatly improved. Looks like your team has turned the corner. Best of luck to you all." "Feels like a hollow victory with so many of the Texans injured. I pray when we meet again this year that you will have all your players well and ready to go." "Good game Texans and hope all the injuries are minor. Cedric K gave a shot to Roy Hall and like K Everet, it didnt look like a real violent hit. Hope hes fine and yes, I heard he has feeling. Thats great. Fans of Texans have set a good example that im not sure will be matched in class by opposing fans. Good luck Texans." "Congratulations to the Texans, as well. The Texans appear to be for real... and are real competition for the Colts. Though the Colts had a comfortable lead at one time, once it reached 30-24, all it took was a hook-up pass, an interception, a fumble recovery or just a plain ol' successful drive for the Texas to take it to the endzone and a win. The Texans look to be much improved over years past, and considering how good the Colts are, they're not too far behind anymore. Texans fans have a lot to be excited about." "Good game to the Texans. Much improved team. Bet ya'll are happy you've got Schaub instead of Carr now!" "Hey Texans! Blow Jacksonville and Tennessee clear out of the stadium! It was nice having you guys around!" "Good game guys. You are definitely turning that franchise around. Hope your guys get well soon so you can lay the smack down on the Jags & Titans !!"
I'm normally a man of peace. But I really don't wanna make nice with Colts fans. I want them to hate us because we beat them like a drum each year.
Actually I think it's a breath of fresh air to see such mature classy fans. After this weekend, the smug, whinny cowsheep fans up here in Dallas have given me a darn near terminal case of heartburn.
