Kind of annoying, isn't it? But, what's the difference between this & all the useless one line negative responses in the trade threads? :p

I am not against trading if the trade improves us. However, how do you expect the brand new coach to know if a trade will improve us under his system until he sees the team play together and figures out who is going to work for him? Once JVG has an idea of who he can count on to implement his system, he will be able to go to CD and say "hey, we need to trade Mobley for a true point guard" or some such.

I am not against a trade, I am just against a trade before the season starts and JVG sees who has showed up to play. I, for one, would be pissed if we trade EG away and he turns into the solid player that I think he will be in this league.

PF Maurice Taylor (8.4 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.0 apg in 20.6 minutes)

Change in team outlook: +5.8 ppg, +5.9 rpg, and -0.9 apg.

I like this one. The others seem a bit unrealalistic. What the heck throw in a 2nd round 2012 draft pick. I am suprised nobody offered Maloney for Garnett. The board must be slacking. Just kidding I like the trade threads if they are actually feasable. Most people, it seems, don`t think anything is ever feasable. I play the lotto, not because I think I am going to win, but to have the excitement of what if. Same reason I read the threads.

The only way I would make a trade is for a no lose player like a Garnett or Brand. I would even throw in Stevie. Anybody but Yao.
I would rather add Mobley and/or Cato. Even with one of those players we would be hard pressed to compete with the top teams in the west, especially in Gundy`s first year. Now if we could get both of them thats a different story. I think our only other option besides a Wallace is to wait for EG to become da man. A lot of teams are probably just waiting for us to give up on EG so they can get him cheap and reap the benefits. I like Steve saying it didn`t matter if he played pg or sg. That shows a team first attitude. The Rockets will be improved if Steve and Mobley make better decisions and if Gundy can light a fire under EG. I think if our guards play a team concept and EG turns into a Brand, we can compete with anybody, but thats a biG IF. We need to find someone to develope EG better because WE WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO WAIT 4-7 YEARS FOR THE STUPID CONTRACTS TO COME OFF THE BOARD BEFORE WE CAN DO ANYTHING ANYWAY. No sense making it worse with even more inane contracts or trading bad for bad/worse ones.

Myself, I like the trade messages a lot better than the uniform ones. If nobody posted trade threads all there would be is the uniform ones. If people don`t like the trade threads don`t read them. I don`t read the uniform ones.

Talent will always have value in this league. If the trade increases our talent, then the drop in chemistry will be overshadowed by the increase in talent.

I would hate to trade Griffin and see him become very solid, however, how solid? Better than SAR? or Wallace? I'd easily trade him in a package for these guys.
