The hawks would never, ever, do this trade...i live in atlanta most of the year and they view this guy as a franchise player. not a chance. It'd be nice if we could get him though...he's like a more wing-playerish stromile swift who actually plays defense.
Sheldon Williams is garbage???? What have you been smoking...crack? I never mentioned Josh Smith as a potential for the Rockets because he's a franchise player and he puts up incredible fantasy numbers. The Hawks are never gonna get rid of him. Sheldon on the other hand costs about as much as Head and has all kinds of upside potential. Last four games of the year with the Hawks. Now pay close attention to those rebound stats....10,17,11,10. I'd say the boy can play. His scoring total in those games weren't bad either.
Besides, you pay attention to Sheldon's overall season stats you'll see that he was only limited by playing time. If you give him playing time, there's not too many NBA players that will out rebound the guy.
I watch the games, and I see a player that looks completely lost out on the court. I see a player that gets out played. Notice that Cleveland was the only good team on that list and no one will confuse Big Z and Marshall as being great defenders. But maybe I should change my opinion on what my own eyes saw all season, because he filled the stat sheet well in four games.
i think trade for josh smith sound good, we get a athletic pf who have mid range and can defend, also get Nocioni instead of wallace, Nocioni can defence, rebound, play 3 and 4 also can shoot 3 but do we have the money?
