    The Warriors just made a deal so they could clear more cap room to sign Marc Jackson.

    I know, Vinny Del Negro for Corie Blount, Paul McPherson, and Ruben Garces isn't that big a trade compared to what you guys are talking about, but then again at least it's actually happened. [IMG]

    Can we Summarize for everyone:

    Dream's status in this is unknown.

    We're like a band of sunshine looking for brighter days.

    That's Kelvin Cato and the Sunshine Band

    Then the cold sets in and we feel good to be alive because our new interest is here with us and they're worthy of being number one with us!!

    Has Castor determined this is Vancouver?...
    But there may be another musical reference here. "we feel good to be alive" is from a song called "18 til I die" by... Bryan Adams who just so happens to be Canadian. This could just be a coincidence but it would fit with the "cold reference.

    Clue 2:
    IR/__ 1X

    IR = Kelvin
    /__ 1X = ?

    Oh hell, I'll play along... [IMG]

    / : it's a forward slash... ummm... forward?

    ___ : it's a space... umm... cap space?

    1X : it's an ex-player as in an ex-Rocket or an ex-1st round pick

    Heck if I know. How does Othella and Stromile sound? That doesn't even work capwise does it? I give up.

    I'm going back to waiting... I've had my hit.

    I know the deal and I can't figure out all of Doc's riddle.... seriously [IMG] Some of it does tell the story... I just don't understand all of it.

    Also, this isn't a done deal with any time frame that I know of... just something being seriously discussed from what I understand. The second I have clearance to post details I will... promise.

    Not a bad guess Dr. D.
    IR=Cato
    /= forward= Carlos Rogers or Walt
    to miami or phoenix

    ___=Cap Space
    to Vancouver

    1x=SAR Vancouver 1st Rd. pick in '95
    to Houston

    Did clutch give us a hint?

    He was obviously referring to DA GRizz. But then again, everyone knows that something's gonna go down with da Grizz anyway.

    Damn Clutch, just when I said I don't think SAR is coming here... but I am glad I am wrong. [IMG]

    So I guess Doc's THINGS CHANGE!! Pieces fall out of place! ...but this could be big.. is a reference to changes to Oily's post, and not a reference to Jamison.

    Xing my fingers.

    I hope this deal happens sometime soon...its the weekend, perfect time to party.

    BTW...this is technically my first full season here on the BBS. Is this large an amount of trade speculation during the season normal?

    Clutch, as a longtime member att CC.net I have only one request. If the deal falls through will you at least post any details you had. It sure would be nicer than reading the posts a year from now that speculate on all the deals we passed on for Hakeem.

    Example: "I can't believe that the Rockets just let Hakeem become a FA instead of taking that deal for Shaq."

    Is everyone so sure that Dream is involved. What if he isn't involved. Then we still get his cap space at the end of the season [IMG]

    Hmmm.... Rarely post but....

    Rocks only have one player on IR: Cato. So, who needs a center for the playoffs? Miami, Pheonix, and maybe the Magic. Vancuver doesn't want the salary. Why trade one Big Country for another (Cato)?
    Clutch said only part of Doc's riddle made any damn sense, so this fits so far.
    Now, what do we need and what would make everyone (us) happy?
    A stud small forward or a center.
    I don't think we will get a center, so it has to be a stud small forward.
    Marion? That would leave the Suns with a hole in that position and the really like him anyway.
    Cedric Ceballos, Eddie House? Maybe, but would it make you party?
    Mike Miller? He's OK, but I wouldn't be partying.
    Nevermind.... I have no idea what I am talking about. I think I will drink myself into a week long slumber and find out later.

    I can't imagine The Grizzle trading SAR for KC and whatever sunshine band we send to make up the cap dollars. They want cap space and we have no one but Dream who offers the relief and from Doc Rocket's post, Dream doesn't seem to be involved in this one.

    Vancouver. Has to be. And the players know it, the way they played. The way they're playing.

    I think this might have been a deal that fell through. Maybe Vancouver wanted to let everything settle awhile. Not seem desperate, trading away their players on the heels of the first published rumors.

    I just wish it would happen soon.

    Chicago/Vancouver/Houston? Miami?

    REAL soon.

    I don't think Cato is going to Vancouver. He would be headed to Miami or Phoenix. We would either have a 3 way with Vancouver or get cap filler from Miami and turn around and trade that or picks to Vancouver for SAR(if he is the player that we are getting.)

    Clutch is there any way you could give us a possible time frame for this. I can tell you this there is not much work being done at my desk today. I'm going nuts with anticipation.

    If Hakeem and Cato are involved, we are getting a starting center. Period. No way in hell we lose both of them to have Mo and Collier start there the rest of the season.
