I know enough about Cuban to know he INDEED shotdwon, and Nelson also boasted it for everyone that wanted to hear, the original ewing/baker/rice trade, by offering a better package to Detroit. I didn´t say he was trying to sabotage the deal. I said that he COULD try to sabotage it if he ever knew it. I´m not saying he WOULD do it, just leaving the possibility open. EVERY organization in basketball does SOMETHING to hurt a trade if the trade helps a rival team. I heard rumors that the Lakers were part of the reason the Rockets didn't get Stoudamire because Jerry West was afraid the "Big Three" having a young stud PG to distribute the ball for them. OK, here are some of my observations in regard to Doc's messages: I think the IR means Cato / means FOR __ means Cap Space the blank space means and 1X means an eX #1 pick (not necessarily the overall #1 pick, but could be) I read that as us dealing with the Grizzlies and we are getting players for one of our (or multiple) #1 pick(s). Does this deal involve Dream, I don't know. This could be a seperate deal than the Dream one. One thing I am sure is that the Dream deal does not involve a big name player such as SAR, which oeilpere has indicated in his post within the thread arse kicking handshake. That doesn't sound like SAR to me. Some may think it's speculation on oily's part or a rumor that oily has heard, but Doc affirms oily's comments by making the following comments when Prempeh had suspicion on the validity of oily's post: I think the part "THINGS CHANGE!! Pieces fall out of place!..." is a reference to the Jamison trade that oily had mention before and some posters on this board had lost "faith" in oily's creditbility because no such deal came through. It seems that we have at least 2 deals that may go down. One with Cato which is the "handshake" one and the Dream deal. We may have a 3rd deal with the "cold sets in and we feel good to be alive". Of course this 3rd one could be part of a multi-teams trade that involves Dream. Kimble14, fun read, but not likely.
I think we have figured out the KC part. But there may be another musical reference here. "we feel good to be alive" is from a song called "18 til I die" by... Bryan Adams who just so happens to be Canadian. This could just be a coincidence but it would fit with the "cold reference. I think maybe it shakes down with Cato to the Heat or Suns Vancouver gets draft picks from us and possibly players from Miami that are in the last year of their contracts and we get SAR. ------------------
