    I wanna cry

:( :( :( I don't know how this could happen to such a good person like Yao and great group of guys like the Rockets. Everything was going so well. :( I just wanna cry now. I don't even wanna watch the NBA anymore. It hurts.. I was looking so forward to the playoffs and the Rockets making some serious noise in what was to be one of the most intense playoffs in NBA history, atleast on the Western Conference side.. It hurts so much more because I know how hard everybody's been trying. Yao and the Rockets didn't deserve this.

I'm also angry and baffled how the Rockets handled this. Somebody needs to get fired. It appears the Rockets knew of this problem and ignored it, maybe allowing the problem to get worse. Furthermore, this makes me wonder the reasoning behind the trade-deadline moves(and also non-moves). Especially if they had an idea Yao was hurting. If they DIDN'T know Yao was hurting, thats another issue all together and SOMEBODY ELSE needs to get fired.

Not pursuing Artest in order to keep Brooks?? Trading away Bonzi for Bobby Jackson???? If they had ANY idea Yao could miss an extended period of time they shouldn't have made that move. A Rockets team without Yao is better off with Bonzi than Jackson, period. None of this makes ANY SENSE to me. Bobby Jackson would ONLY make sense if Yao was playing, not when Yao is OUT.

Ok, we know. We are all upset, but there are a million other threads to share your feelings. Is a new thread necessary?

I am actually out of it. It's just a basketball game. I love it, but take what fate gives you. I will be happy if this current team peforms well without Yao. My expectation is lowering, so that's a healthy thing for me. I am not going to say the season is over, as I was made an idiot by saying that last year.

    Fight on Rockets!

Could they have told the future that Yao would be out for the season when Bonzi was traded. Get off Morey. Rockets will be a great team still.

I guess the reason why it is such a big deal is that

Finally people are talking it is Yao's team this year and He responded by carrying the team.

He is not only playing well but also he sets up the team and be a mental model to be strong, not weak

So the mental impact of Yao going down is more than physically we lost Yao

You wanted them to make trade decisions based on Yao being out the entire season?

    WTF.

Dude, you don't understand! Those other million threads are about how OTHER people feel. THIS one is about how krnxsnoopy feels!! Of COURSE a topic so important deserves its own thread!

Frankly I am not that interested in seeing this whole board filled with this type of threads. If every one of us posts our emotion in a new thread, there will be no end. Yes, it's sad, but there is a new day, and new hope. Pick it up.

for the last couple of games Yao was clearly playing with pain.

He was doing layups and toss-ups under the basket instead of dunking.

i am surprised the team didn't do something about it earlier.

why didn't they do a MRI earlier instead of applying icing and band aids?

I feel the same pain but we dont need to point our figures to anybody.
I just hope we still have Tracy next year and we win it all.

Yeah, sorry maybe I shouldn't have been so quick to put the blame on somebody. But I still don't understand how we couldn't better prepare for the worst? After Bynum went out, Lakers got Gasol. We could have made a move if we had known about this earlier but now its too late :(

How many people cried after hearing the news?

Alright, admit it. If you shed a tear upon hearing the news, fess up.
