Only if your head is between the closing door and the door frame. I have a right to be upset just as the next guy. I always watch the Rockets regardless.
I am coping just fine actually. My Rockets obsession and eventual disappointment (as of late) has ruined enough of my summer breaks. I didn't think we were going to win the title anyway so at least we get another lotto pick, and hopefully we won't blow it like we did with our last one. My only concern is Yao's health from this point on, but from what I understand this injury just needs surgery and rest and he should be fine?
Another way to look at it...at least there is still basketball to be played and the whole team didn't go down in a horrific plane crash. Although, that could be next given this team's luck.
How's your new TV? Anyone hear from Pryuen? if anyone sees a guy attempting to bungie jump off the Great Wall, stop them!
i was sitting on the couch watching espn news just waiting for work... then BOOM! like a ****ing train just hit me ... i... cant believe it... i had that feeling like something truly special was gonna happen this year... now this?... i need some weed and liquor and maybe just maybe i can forget about this just for tonight. hopefully we can make the playoffs and gain rookie experience its time... for the annual rockets injury thud... i still believe though
New TV is great man. Thanks again for all of your help (I also got that stand you suggested). I don't know....maybe I should be more upset. I was excited to see this team in the postseason but I didn't think we could win a title this year. I guess the last few disappointing years (as far as the high expectation levels) are starting to wear me down....
I was sick to my stomach and ticked off for about half an hour, but now I'm in fight mode again and wanna see these other guys step up and beat the crap outta some teams, just for spite.
I restarted smoking tonight, and I will go clubbing on Friday, drinking as much as I can and hitting on any girls that moves or breathe air regardless their age or appearance.
Counting my blessings and staying optimistic, that this injury could be good for the team in the long run , no point in gloom and doom yet..
I'm at work, don't want to be here, thank god took half a day so I can go to tonights game and going to play lots of rock band tonight....
My brother texted me the news while I was at school...I couldn't believe it. Man, this sucks ass. This season we started out 6-1, after that we started playing sorry, then we found our groove and went on a 12 game winnning streak, and now this? Are you freaking kidding me? This roller coaster ride makes me sick!
Being upset gives you no right to call YAO or TMac any name when it's not their fault they get injured. Read your post again, and you shall see how foolish you sounded. Again, we don't need fans like you, calling players names like the ones you used in the first page. AGAIN: DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT, "Surfguy".
I feel like stabbing myself excessively and repeatedly...... and cursing till I go to helll.... and hittin myself again...... and then curse again because of so much pain........ sigh...... But life must go on as they say....... that just sounds like a bad joke right now though doesn' it?
im crushed by this...buy at least ill be in vegas this weekend with 20 friends thatll help me deal...
I was really excited this morning about getting a ticket for the game in Dallas with the Rowdies. I got a call from my Spurs friend and I was expecting the news he had for me to be that we gotten Barry...but instead heard that we lost Yao. I was crushed...went from high to low very quickly. I plan on listening to "Everybody Hurts" by REM and similar stuff as I watch the game tonight.
I didn't call them names. Where did I call Yao or Tmac a name? I called Yao an injury bust. That's not really calling them names. Sorry if you can't understand the source of my frustrations and my initial response to devastating news. I've been a Rocket fan for a very long time. I will always be a Rocket fan regardless of who the players are. Sure, our chances of winning a championship go down with Yao out. That is why this is so frustrating. This was supposed to be the year for it all to come together. So, save your drama... . Fans like me...lol. If only the rest of the fans were so loyal like me. I've been watching Rockets since 1980. I've missed no more than a handful of games in all that time. I'm a die-hard Rocket fan. Fans like me...PLEASE. STFU!
Drained is how I feel - it is what happens when you become emotionally invested in a sports team - when you plan your evenings and weekends around rocket telecasts -when you read every article written about the rockets - when you perform google searches looking for rocket news - when you spend hours on a fan board refreshing the "barry thread" hoping for good news, only to find your star center out for the season - Drained.
