that's a bad strategy we had in the past two years. by the time you want to dump him, no one is willing to give a high pick for him. now, you can see our roster. a lot of 2nd fiddle players. will any of them get us a lottery pick or higher 1st round pick? i suspect.

As long as the West becomes easier- gotta look at the bright side.

yea i agree, east became west...and we got nothing out of it...i seriously think we should tank and get a good draft pick. Sure the west got easier, but we still gotta win a lot of games to make playoffs, where we will probably have to play against, the lakers, mavs, or spurs...which i dont think we could beat in a series. so might as well get a good draft rather then just a 1st round outing.

Except for the fact that Morey has REPEATEDLY said that they are actively looking to make a deal, and every reporter this side of the Atlantic Ocean has said that the Rockets are one of the most active teams seeking a deal. Stop being a Chicken Little, and be patient. The deadline is more than 24 hours away.....and even if we can't make a deal by tomorrow, there is always the off-season and draft night. All these emo posts are getting on my nerves....give me a break.

i agree. we pile up tons of 2nd tie players which are worth only 2nd round picks. no one is willing to deal with us.

Imagine if McGrady was healthy but still the malcontent he was before he got traded. We would have gotten a king's ransom too.

Jazz have successfully reloaded from the Boozer/Williams era, Rockets still stuck in mediocrity from the Yao/McGrady era.

It's the new Diva'palooza, stars want to play in NY, LA, Miami, Chicago, and Boston.

This might be one of the reasons why the Kings are reportedly interested in moving to South California.

It doesn't really bother me. Morey said we'll be more flexible next season.

He is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

I don't want him to make a move just to make a move. Calm down folks.

And they still have a better future than the Rockets.

I meant in terms of what you have to give up for them, i.e. the Knicks had to give up a lot to complete this trade. In terms of contracts, LeBron is definitely outplaying his contract. He brings a lot of value to a team, as does every superstar. I have no problem with max contracts, its just the issue of getting the player away from another team in the first place.

never be contenders again? lol.....Thats dramatic!

We will. it just depends on what we do now that tells us how soon we will be contenders again.

Its a little dissappointing that we haven't made a move yet but the reality is that neither the Knicks (call me when they sign CP3) nor the Nets have a better team on the floor than we do. Neither of them are contenders in the east. So they got a big splash and some media coverage, they are still no closer to a title than us.

Well, one big difference is that Mcgrady was damaged good when we wanted to trade him and it is basically same with Yao. Where as Williams & Boozer were both healthy.

what about possibly acquiring one of: favors, millsap, or jefferson? they're all under contract until 2013, no way the jazz keep all of them, word is they're likely to make another trade before the deadline..

    Wrong. Dead wrong.

Fact is their slope just increased by a large margin while we're headed in the barely positive region.
