28 hours for me. No generator. I had large pots of water simmering on the gas range for about 13 hours, but that eventually created enough CO to set off the alarms. Spent some time in the car then.
Well power went out around midnight and this morning the water stopped trickling. I went ahead and shut the water off to the house assuming that’s the best thing to do?
Try and drain the pipes by turning on the furthest faucet in the house - or any faucet if it's frozen. it's not a guarantee at this point (like turning all the faucets on when you know all the pipes aren't frozen) but you need to release the pressure.
Got power back at about 1 am after being without power for nearly 24 hrs. Hang in there guys, sorry that our incompetent government has failed us.
Our power came on for an hour at around 12:20 and hasn't been back on since... This is just stupid... T_Man
Can we sue for EARCOT and the power companies to pay our inflated gas bills from reheating our homes? Or, do we sue Mother Nature...that b****?
So the weather today and overnight not looking especially great either. High of 30 with freezing precipitation starting around midnight? Yikes
Has anyone noticed all the birds seem to be hanging around more in the backyard? It’s like they don’t know what to do with themselves.
Parents live in North Shore and lost power at 2 am. They are seniors and I'm worried. Anyone else living on the East side of town?
