A tornado touched down in The Woodlands yesterday...about 2 miles from my house. It lasted about 20 seconds and did some damage to homes and many trees.
It went right through one of my friend's neighborhood. Some trees fell down a couple houses right next to him. Really strange, being so short. Nobody got hurt though
It looks like we are deep into May without having a single 90° F day. I think there was just one last year prior to June. 2015 2014
Tornado hit Sandy/Round Mountain, then to Cypress Mill to Spicewood to Smithwick. My neighbor at RM just built a pimped out 8000 sqft ranch house. He now gets to build a new new house. It's gone. Heading out in the morning to survey the damage. Watched a guy in an F250 try to cross a creek, he got about 1/3 of the way across, the water's up to fenders, and I guess he wanted to see how high the water was...he opens his door, then immediately closes it and throws the truck in reverse.
Lightning just struck the house across from me. Saw smoke, so we called 911 just to be sure. Felt like a fool since the smoke was going away as we called, but they eventually got here and no more than 5 minutes later were they working on a small fire that appeared at the top of the house. Luckily everyone in the cul de sac worked together and we basically got the family out and got the firefighters here pretty quickly. In other news, that's the closest I've been to a lightning strike. Once is enough for me.
So sick of this lightening, my r****d dog keeps ****ting down her leg. This deluge has been going on for hours. Memorial Park is gonna be a Mosquitoes wet dream.
Dear 77007, I apologize if you find my trash floating by your house. My street flooded and a few morons drove by, causing a wave that toppled my trash can. It is now beyond sight from my windows.
On the bright side, Lake Travis has risen 20 feet in 7 days That's not counting today's downpour yet either. http://kxan.com/2015/05/25/lake-travis-rises-20-feet-in-7-days/
Well I'm stuck on the way back from watching the game. Left my car in the road with 80% flooded. Seeking refuge at the Oxford lol **** I should have just stayed home
