Channel 2 has been dead since 7 ish. I want to see J Rey on my television. Have to keep up with her on Twitter
Fixin to have to go help a friend that lives off of Rayford Rd. close to Spring Creek. Said he has about an hour before it gets to the driveway and this just the local runoff. The water from Waller won't come in until later which will make it worse.

I see comments on the video that it wasn't really a rescue, but man, you see how confused the old man was, I'm not sure he wasn't just going to stay with the car as it sank if the reporter wasn't there and he probably would have drowned. So yes, the reporter didn't physically jump in and rescue the man, but I'd say he saved him by convincing him to leave the car before it sank under the water.
Wow I hate to be mean but what is wrong with that old guy? I mean mistaking the water for road is one thing, but then not knowing if he should swim to safety or stay with the car and become submerged? ????????
lmao what an idiot..the reporter's reaction is hilarious..(goddammit now im gonna have to save this dumass).. lol <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3e0Oo7zWVdg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I think it's the fact that he's older and the shock and confusion from his car sinking. The whole video is 59 seconds and his car is completely under water by the end of the video. That's not very much time. He had a minute or less to get out of the car or run a very real risk of drowning.
I like how the guy tried to put the car in reverse lol. I mean what a dumb ass. Why, why, why don't people have brains when it comes to storms. Just complete ignorance.
Only thing that would've made it better is if that dude was some redneck in a 4x4 pickup with oversized wheels thinking this little puddle is nothing for his pickup.
The neighborhood where I work has street flooding. Looking like the worst has passed, but if another system develops and sits for any extended period of time that would not be good.
I remember way back then in 2000 when Houston had that flood. I drove around town and saw people jet skiing on a low freeway. WTF.
Anyone have an update for this story? http://www.chron.com/neighborhood/c...ning-horses-fight-for-survival-in-7255102.php Horses were trapped in flood water near northwest Harris County at the Cypress Trail Horse Stables on Monday, according to a video uploaded to Facebook by Spring Happenings. A Harris County Livestock trailer arrived about 9 a.m. Monday at the stables in an attempt to save horses that were still tied. The video showed the horses trying to keep their heads above water. Bystanders stood near Cypress Wood and Cypress Creek and shouted cheers of encouragement as the horses tried to swim to safety.
