Crazy rain we're getting. I moved to houston in 2003 and i don't remember houston consistently getting these type of monsoon rain until around 2010s i think around 2012 or 2013, houston has been consistently getting flash flood rain at least once a year
There will come a time this summer when a high pressure system will plant itself over Texas for 2 weeks and we'll all be praying for rain. I say enjoy it while it's here.
I think since 2015, it has been a little more frequent. The years before that had a few drought years, though, not counting tropical weather. I think you've probably seen the dry years and the wet years.
