Ugh. So much for the holiday on Monday. I have to go in Monday afternoon for a 24hr shift to support ICS to minimize down time and keep your heaters and lights on... Only down side of my career change from IT to OT.... Being on call and weather events.
I'm going in for at least 24 hours and as many as 36 hours starting Monday afternoon....I fully understand why, but it's still funny how much more serious winter storms are to this area than hurricanes.

Is anyone else getting their kids up in the middle of the night at ~3 or 4 AM to check out the snowfall?
Y’all should remember the drill. Keep your taps open a little bit to keep water flowing, dress in layers, have more water on hand in case your pipes do burst, and drive slow! Best of luck Houston with winter storm 2025. And if you feel like things seem bad there it’s -18 F this morning in Minnesota.

Yeah this is legit snow. Happy for the kids who’ve never seen it like this. But hope everyone is smart and stays safe!
