Good times up here on the north side. Went to work out this morning. Just as I got there it started trickeling...then BAM. Ended up getting stuck there for a couple of hours because the water was nearly up to my truck doors. Receeded enough that I could get home but it's coming again and not letting up. Was strange to see abandoned cars along Rayford Rd and all of the side streets. Lake Conroe Dam was opened so the San Jacinto is going to flood...if it isn't already.

Major flooding in Houston isn’t just a year occurrence but happens multiple times a year.

    Stay safe.

Dang... I know Montgomery County worries about the wealthy homeowners that bought lakeside houses, but the rest of us that live below the lake are put at risk. Last time they released water communities like McDade Estates along FM2854 and along Fish Creek Boulevard were flooded as a result of the releases.

Years ago they released so much later the creek rose over the new bridge on Fish Creek Blvd. Crazy.

ABC 13 still going OTA and it could take a while for some people to get power back since there are several of those Transmission Towers with problems.

Miya Shay (ABC 13) is somewhere in the area of Fry Road -- 99 (Toll Road) and there are multiple Transmission Towers with problems.

There appeared to be a fair amount of open land still under development, so probably North of Cy Springs High School and maybe between Bridgeland and Cy Ranch High Schools.

The tornado mangled high power transmission lines. I'm not sure these outages are going to be a one day or less fix.

goddam, I am supposed to go down tomorrow - my parents are closing on their house and GTFO Texas due in part bc of things like this. They are a few miles away from the downed tower above on the NW side.

It might be a while before some parts of Cypress get power back since some Transmission Towers were downed due to wind or maybe a Tornado.

I have seen Centerpoint reroute power when a line on wooden poles local to a neighborhood as a problem. It could be much more difficult to come up with alternate paths when Transmission Towers have problems.
