Got dang. Already hit around 100-101 in my area and heat index somewhere around 115-120. Out west of DFW, near Breckenridge, the humidity was lower, so the temps were even higher. They got up to around 108-111, but the heat index was also "only" 110. lol.

Our temps are supposed to be going up a bit later this week/next week, I think. I hope the humidity comes down. Too early for this mess.

It's 7 PM, the temp is 106 and the heat index is 120. In June. This is ****ing ridiculous.

I'd throw something on the grill so I don't have to warm up the kitchen, but it's too damn hot to be near a grill, not a fan of sweating while I eat.

lol. We've got Houston humidity all of a sudden up here with high temps. I just went outside and it was 96 degrees. Came back in thinking "damn, it felt hot as hell out there". Heat index is 116. :D

I'm just praying this isn't like one of those summers where we have weeks of 100+ temps. This is looking ugly.

Some of my forefathers were growing rice in river valleys that frequently flooded. That meant they could grow rice but also that the floods would also occasionally kill some of them.

My other forefathers were living on vast grasslands where temps could plummet to -40. As such every now and then they left the grasslands to go and raid my other forefathers.

Going to a wedding in Bentonville this weekend and taking the kids to Silver Dollar City in Branson while we're there. It's currently 84 and feels like 85 (LOL) there right now.

That 'feels like' temp is 30 degrees cooler than Houston right now. Should I take a jacket?

    Thanks, Arthur.

Ah, the good ol' days - when the family unit meant something. Nowadays if you're hungry, you go to the fridge. Back in those days, you destroyed villages, killed your neighbors, and maybe came back with 8 fingers and one eye left along with a case of dysentery or bubonic plague. Kids these days have it so easy.... smh.

Went for an early run this morning to try to avoid the heat/sun....then a few hours later greeted the solstice with a nice case of chapped ass. Thanks, summer!

I'm doing that now. Still on my first game. I think I screwed up and made my colony too big and too wealthy. And I have 2 of them. I started building my ship to escape. I'm about to get wrecked. lol.

I’ve thought about doing that here but I was told that putting Edina Minnesota to the sword would be frowned upon.
