Was coming here to post about the T-wolves meltdown. Apparently they consider themselves the most frustrating also.
Maybe this is just Goebert’s way of getting people to care about the T-wolves most Minnesotans sports talk is about the Wild Hockey team, the U of Mn Gophers Hockey team (which just lost in the NCAA championship) and the surprising success of the Twins.
We all know the Rudy Gobert trade was absolutely moronic. Crazy that it was the old Nuggets GM that pulled off that move.
honestly, that Gobert trade should be a career ruiner…u literally tanked your entire franchise with one trade How is this dude even still employed? Billy King did that disastrous Nets-Celtics trade, and we ain’t seen or heard from him since…same thing should be happening here
It was the worst trade since the Rockets traded Pippen for Cato and Walt Williams. Also, it's really compounded by how good Kessler has been. A closer to fair trade today looks like expirings and Kessler for Gobert, without the sea of draft assets.
This is the same state whose NFL franchise traded a ton for Herschel Walker and set up the Cowboys for a decade. It’s a Minnesota Tradition!
Yeah, I've been thinking that the Gobert trade looks eerily like the Herschel Walker trade... except that Walker was a true superstar and Gobert is just a defensive specialist who's talent does not belong to the contemporary game.
He belongs in the game but not as a max player. There's still a huge role for paint protecting big man buthe shouldnt be a max guy cuz when the opponent goes small ball he will be a liability unless he can guard smalls like Mobley or Jarett Allen.
Imagine trading all that for gobert just for him not to b avaliable on a do or die play in game. Timberwolves are gonna lose Edward's and towns to fix this dumb@$$ trade. The wolves gm reminds me of the folks on here who are so in love with the big tall defensive anchor that they keep pining for everytime to sht on sengun. Any gm worth their salt knows that if guards like harden can take gobert lunch money and run away with it for years in playoffs, he's not worth that much trade assets even if he was dpoy
The wisest words said about Minnesota sports was by former Vikings coach Mike Tice “Enjoy the season”. Because Minnesota will let you down in the playoffs
