I'd only go that route if Jaric or Wilcox came in the deal.

I'd like for the Rockets to add Demar Johnson. I remember how much the Rockets wanted him, thus when he was taken, then the Rockets traded the pick fo Prizbila for Jason Collier and the 1st round pick the next year.

And I'd really like it if Barry could be the 8th or 9th man. And for the point guard if the Rockets could pull off a trade for Daniels, that would be sweet!!!

And if the Rockets could get Swift that would be an awsome offseason!!!

    Yao / Mutumbo
    Swift :D / Howard
    McGrady /
    Demar Johnson :D / Barry
    Daniels :D / Head

WOW that's a cool looking team

Kittles isn't that good..him and Harris former Nets..

Demarr Johnson is going to resign with Denver I believe..and Antonio Daniels to Lakers or Clippers?

Antonio Daniels is a good player..I'd rather have him than Sura or Wesley or James..but if we get him, he needs to work on his shot.

Wilcox would be pretty good..but SWIFT please!!!

Throwing out some ideas after reading Clutch's report on the guards and trades.

Expiring contract for an albatross contract:
Spoon + Ward for Derek Anderson (2 years 19M)
Spoon for Jerome Williams (3 years 20M)
Spoon for Malik Rose (3 years 20M)
Wesley for Trenton Hassell (5 years 23M)
Wesley + Ward for Corey Maggette (4 years 30M)
Wesley + Baker + Moochie for Jalen Rose (2 years 33M)
Spoon for Mark Blount (5 years 34M)
Wesley for Hidayet Turkoglu (5 years 34M)
Spoon + Wesley for Theo Ratliff (3 years 35M)
Spoon for Kenny Thomas (5 years 37M)
Wesley + Ward for Darius Miles (5 years 41M)
Wesley + Baker + Ward for Raef LaFrentz (4 years 45M)
Wesley + Baker + Ward for Wally Szczerbiak (4 years 46M)
    Spoon + Wesley + Baker + Ward for Jalen Rose (2 years 33M) + S&T Marshall (4 years 24M)
Wesley + Baker + Ward + Sura for Shawn Marion (4 years 62M)

    Some other stuff:
Howard + Ward + James for S&T Daniels + Danny Fortson
Howard + Ward + Sura for Al Harrington + Tony Delk

Anything worth it or is it all garbage?

As a person who had Kittles on his fantasy team for a couple of years straight, I can say that from a stats perspective, he's inconsistent. One game, he'll hit some trays, get 3 steals, 20 points, and then he'll get 9 the next game. I never understood, and that was playing with a run and gun passing Jason Kidd too. Kittles is a proven commodity on the wrong side of 30. I would be somewhat content with him (but it's not like he's gonna win the championship for the Rockets), provided the Rockets solidy the 4 spot first.

I love DJ's "O", length and athleticism; but does anyone know if he defend against other 2's? He could also back-up TMac nicely at the '3'. I remember last year when he torched us in one game with a barage of 3's.
So how's his defense, is it survivable if not great?

His Defensive PER is 13.9 and he played about 75% of his minutes last year at SG. Lower the better. T-Mac 13.6, Wesley 15.6, Artest 12.7, Battier 14.1, Hughes 18.6, Mobley 16.0. I'd say he is a pretty good defender.

Thanks, at 6'9" that's that alot of SG. Wesley is suppose to be a good defender so I'd have to say DJ is one of my favorites then. He is up against 'Melo and probably Cat, so he would be looking to start. His 3pt % is not great, but okay and he has alot of time to improve, Go for it CD.

His negatives are he doesn't seem to rebound well for his size and he is a weak ball handler. Assist to TO is about even. But he would not be doing much ball handling with T-Mac & the point guard or expected to create for others. Just hit open shots, run the floor, play defense. We'll see if CD feels the same.

DJ's youth, athletism and versatility would fit great. If we could add DJ and Swift for the LLE and MLE that would be a coup!

    Anthony Peeler.

A taller, older David Wesley, he would be an ok replacement for Jon Barry if he's not resigned.

Hmmmm, I didn't realize that DJ was such a good defender, at least on paper he is. He might be a good pick up, but I think Denver with his buddy Kenyon Martin would have the advantage. We would probably have to offer him more than what Denver would offer him. Don't see it happening unless somehow the Swift deal falls through or West decides to do a S&T with us and leaves us the MLE to pick up some other talent.

That is my major hope. We need to do a SnT for SS or AW in order to really upgrade the team with the MLE LLE and the little TE's we have. He still might rather start. I hear that the Rox have been after him before. Now, he is a UFA so we don't need the Nug's permission. DJ would make a great slide man between 2/3.

DJ is UFA. He was on a 1 year minimum contract with Denver. Denver is going after a starting SG so if DJ came back it would ba as a backup with about the same amount of playing time. We could offer a shot at starting and more minutes. The problem will come from lesser teams looking to spend some of their MLE and offering a 3 year deal for 6-8M when all we can offer is 2 years LLE (~3.5M).

If we get Aw or SS for a SnT then we will still have our MLE and LLe plus the TE's to tempt DJ and someone else also. I don't think I said it clearly in my Quote.

Okay, this is sort of off-topic and definitely not serious, but what would you guys think about picking up Boki's friend, Mr. Bust, Nikoloz Tskitishvili to ride the pine for the minimum? We could stick him in the development league and see if he can't put on a little weight and try to develop into a poor man's Chandler, but with handles.

I hope the Swift negotiations (or rather, the SAR/NJ/Portland negotiations) get worked out soon, so we can start talking about affordable back court help in earnest.
