Starter PG-->Backup PG-->Bench warmer in NK People called him headless chicken, he is not qualified for playmaker's duty. But he is nice to play along with Lin and Harden as a SG.
He has been playing very well. He deserves the credit. I think he is a great fit playing with Lin and/or Harden. Don't want him to play without one of those guys and don't want him to start chucking.
I honestly thought he was just trade filler, but the man has game and lots of energy. I'm proud to say I was wrong about this guy.
Toney, you've been an awesome guy all your life. I saw how you were in NY and now in Houston. I'm glad things are working out for you and am glad you are contributing and helping us win. You's a good man.
TD's proven that he's a big part of the team's success. Good call by the coaches to give him a lot of play time to get his confidence up...have payed good dividend thus far.
Dougie and Delfino are pretty critical pieces to the team with their three-point shooting. They just need to do a little less play-making. Harden & Lin will get those penetrations and give you good looking threes all day. I like that one move Douglas did though where he saw his defender go under a screen and so he just popped a three at the top.
I hope TD will continue to be the energizer to the team... his style contrasts Lin's but somehow complementary to both Harden and Lin... he brought chaos to opposition's rythm with his erratic headless chicken style...
TD is swell person! good for the team. Cracks me up all day that the knicks fans and organization hated him.
I love Tony's ball-hawking defensively and overall effort. I wish he was a guy that showed some emotion though. For a dude that puts his heart out there, he's so nonchalant about it all (which is cool, too).
Yeah he's been playing well. He started off the year pretty sucky, through the first 10 games I think he was shooting something like 11%, LMAO. But I'm glad he's found his stroke and providing a spark off the bench, with some clutch threes.
He's important to the team for sure. His 3's have been on the money and he can finish at the hoop (sometimes) too. You can tell he cares about his team-mates.
knicks fans be killing toney, lol. problem with him last yr was the system. they tried running him as pg under dantoni and that was a disaster. the guy is a on ball defender and spot up shooter that brings energy he is the master of the flip layup haha
