The Rockets are only 5 games worse the San Antonio. So I guess we are in the same boat as the champions. :rolleys: I guess all three teams are big ****ing gigantic boat by your reasoning. We might not have done anything since 1995, but when the hell have you guys done anything?!?!?! As for attendance, big whoopity doo! There is not a damn thing to do in Utah. What passes for fun up there? There are only two things that rank ahead of the Jazz in terms of fun I'm guessing - inbreeding and having multiple wives. Blow off jack ass.
Jazz are better than expected but this Jazz team will NOT provide the post season entertainment that Stockton-Malone did - EVER.
guys, if there's one thing some of you need to learn, it's don't feed the trolls. if you ignore them maybe they will go away back to jazzland where they can enjoy watching greg ostertag's fat ass waddle around.
nahh, jazz bashing is fun when people get all huffy about it. Among other things, jazz fans lack a sense of humor as well, and are about as good at talking trash as Orrin Hatch would be.
Sorry, I don't have to follow some one else's "rules" about what it takes to be a Rockets fan. Rockets fans should welcome supporters of the team, not try to restrict the numbers by making up requirements for being a fan. I AM a Rockets fan, and I don't hate the Jazz. I think it's cool they are defying everyone's expectations this season. I am sorry that Stockton & Malone didn't win atleast one ring, when Jordan and Phil already had plenty. I enjoyed watching those Jazz teams and think Sloan is an excellent coach. I'd much rather him coach my team then Mr. Hollywood Zen Jackson. I can't root for Malone to win a ring now, because I hate the Lakers, and have since the 80's. Doesn't mean I haven't liked or respected individual Lakers players, but I can't stand them as a team. The comments about the state of Utah are ignorant and silly as well. For one thing, people not getting drunk does not equal having no fun. If you think you must be drunk to have fun, I'm sorry you have such a sad existence. Anyway, I won't tell anyone not to hate the Jazz or Malone or whoever, that's your business if you want to do that. But don't tell me that I'm not a Rockets fan if I don't share your hate, because that simply isn't true. I would say I'm MORE of a rockets fan than many people who post here that start "trade francis!" "yao sucks!" threads every time we lose a game. I am not a sore loser, and don't give up on the team every time they struggle. This has been a fun season, and I am glad to have been in the chats for some great sharing of game moments. There have definitely been some low points, but all in all, it has been exciting. later, Jeffster
Cant believe I missed this thread 1. I hate you sean reynolds, you are so predictable(stupid troll) 2. I HATE THE JAZZ 3. love the comment Rockets03, i fell for it twice 4. Jazz Suck 5. Im waiting for the day a mascoz attacks Karl Malone. 6. Jazz are the scum on the bottom of my shoes. did I mention that the jazz are no where near the skill level of the rockets.... and anyone who thinks so is as retarted as the woman who tried getting change for a million dollar bill... my new favourite saying Juck the Fazz
I officialy proclaim you a non-Rockets fan. It is the First Commandment in the "How to be a Rockets fan" book. THOU SHALL HATE THE JAZZ! In fact the other Nine Commandments are: 2- THOU SHALL WISH DEATH UPON ALL THAT IS JAZZ 3- THOU SHALL AGREE MALONE IS A b*stard 4- THOU SHALL AGREE STOCKTON IS A w**** 5- THOU SHALL AGREE SLOAN IS THE ANTI-CHRIST 6- THOU SHALL NEVER EVER EVER GO TO UTAH 7- THOU SHALL NEVER EVER EVER COMPLIMENT A JAZZ PLAYER 8- JAZZ REPRESENT EVERYTHING THAT IS EVIL AND UNHOLY IN OUR UNIVERSE 9- INCEST, INBREEDING, FLOPPING, AND WHINING ARE COMMONPLACE EVERYWHERE IN UTAH 10- JUCK THE FAZZ!!!!
Yeah, that's great. Why don't you go ahead and proclaim yourself king of England while you're at it too? It would mean just as much.
This is outstanding--every now and again we just need a good Jazz hate thread to get ourselves going here. Seriously, I don't think we have a more common cause at our disposal. Everybody's divided on Francis; everybody's divided on Yao; everybody's divided on everybody. But we can always hate the Jazz, and that's one of the great things about being a Rockets fan. It's ridiculous to say that Utah and Houston are in the same boat. Even the most animate Jazzhole has to admit that Utah's management wouldn't hesitate to trade away the whole team for Yao Ming, much less the rest of the Rockets. Utah's team is comprised of Andrei Kirilenko, Matt Harpring, and a bunch of players that nobody else signed as free agents and they were the best Utah could get to sign in Salt Lake. There's just something so overwhelmingly RIGHT about hating the Jazz, and I honestly don't know what it is. At first I thought it was just a weird problem I had (being surrounded by Jazzholes), but then I found that pretty much all other Rockets fans "suffered" from the same syndrome. It's a beautiful thing. I could really give a rat's ass what happens this season with Utah. I don't think they'll beat out Denver and Portland for that 8 spot, but even if they do--let them get their asses kicked AGAIN by Sacramento. What the hell do we care? We have the playoffs to worry about--Utah's not a threat, they haven't been a threat in quite some time, and they're not GOING to be a threat for quite a while. But it's not a real bright idea to go onto a Rockets website and equate the current playoff-bound Rockets to a team that isn't in the playoffs. Jazz suck. Feel free to win a championship. ANY year. But I'm guessing that the Olympic rings of '02 are the LAST rings Salt Lake will be seeing in quite some time.
"Why Sloan might be the COY whether or not the Jazz makes the playoffs: Utah starters make less than $5 million ... combined. The league's AVERAGE salary, remember, is $5 million." -- quote from this week's ESPN power ranking.
