Yawn! You people are so predictable!

I once hated the Rockets too. You know when they kept knocking out Utah in the early 90s. But now that they've hit the wall I really don't mind 'em.

Face it, the Jazz and Rockets are in the same boat. Chances are they're both not going to win an NBA title within this decade. They both may make the playoffs, but that is about as far as they're goin.

Oddly enough, I'm willing to bet Utah signs a big named player this off-season. Add that with the fact Utah will have Harpring back and the Jazz will once again be around the tops in the west.

The kicker though, Utah's got a bunch of NOBODIES on their team and they're lookin at the 8th seed in the NBA playoffs.

No other team in the western conference is. They've all got at least ONE star. The Jazz do not.

Hate 'em if you will, I really don't care, but I do know one thing. The more hate I see on this board means the more fans are gettin' scared of the Jazz actually MAKING the playoffs. Something no person here predicted back in October.

Sorry, you had me in convulsions.

Yes, I am verrrrry scared of the Jazz making the playoffs.

I am petrified of virtually every marquee player making Great Salt Lake their #1 destination.

I am stupefied that a Jazzfan would not even recognize stardom on his own team.

I am mortified that the Jazz will be stuck in playoff/lottery straddling mediocrity... FOREVER.

Scared of the Spazz. No, I just never stopped hating 'em. I'll hate the Jazz until the day I die. I hope no player that I like ever gets traded to the Spazz, or they will be dead to me. After the Spazz I hate the Queens, then the Fakers.

I'm sure you are. I mean it's obvious you've all sat around on your asses waiting for the day Utah FINALLY missed the playoffs for you could all laugh it up. You know, I've been here since 2002, I've read many posts that show the hatred for Utah and when they win. So it's not that hard to realize that a lot of the distaste comes from the fact Utah continues to win.

So you're either all scared of the Jazz winning. Or you're just REALLY sorry folks to hold grudges this long. Either way I think it's funny. Here your hatred for the Jazz has bubbled because of their recent success.

I've never seen such disgust subjected toward one NBA team in my life. It really is sad.

My hate curve falls back toward ambivalent until I hear some Jazzfan's deranged view of reality.

Same boat? Maybe if it's the Titanic and the Rockets are sitting in a lifeboat while the Jazz are running around below decks with Leonardo and Kate.

Look, maybe in the next few years we can meet in the first round sometime, you can have a grand old time being the underdog feeling like you have a chance. Hey, we'll even give you a game or two. Then our All-World center will strangle the will to live out of you. Sound familiar? It's a date.

Tell me how the Rockets and Jazz ARE NOT in the same boat. Do you really believe the Rockets are good enough to compete with the likes of the Kings, Lakers (when they're healthy), Spurs (when they're healthy) and even the Mavs? I do not. I mean, right now the Rockets are in 7th place. Jazz coming up on the 8th spot. TO ME that is the same boat.

Now if the Rockets were in the top 5, you may have a point, but they're not. The only way the Rockets get above that 7th spot is if the Grizzlies and T-Wolves wins this season are utter flukes. If that doesn't happen, Rockets will hover around the 6--8 spot for a good few years. Expect the Jazz to be around there too.

As far as this season goes, don't flatter yourself that people here are all concerned about how much the Jazz are winning. Nobody gives a flip about your team until someone starts a "How about my Jazz?" thread here.

Overachieving, underachieving, winning, losing, who cares?

Teams in your rear-view mirror all look the same. The Jazz are as much on the Rockets' radar screen as the Sonics, Warriors, Suns, et al.

You said that. Not in the context of this season, but over the next 5-6 years.

And no, in that case, we are MOST DEFINITELY not in the same boat. Our's is a luxury liner named "Big Pimpin'" with Jay-Z blaring and Yao Ming at the wheel. Your's is the SS Minnow with Gilligan (Kirilenko - your star btw) and Skipper (Ostertag).

Watch out, there's a storm ahead.

If it disgusts you so much, then don't read it, or leave.

But not only do I hate the Jazz, I hate their players, current and former, I hate the way they flop around like rag dolls on contact and play dirty, I hate their stupid name which makes no sense after they moved from New Orleans and signifies how uncreative and r****ded they are, I hate their sanctimonious loser of an owner Larry Miller, I hate their pasty dorky dockers wearing fans who cram into the Delta center, I hate Salt Lake City and the fact that drinking and having fun are illegal there, I hate the boring state of Utah and Orrin Hatch.

As far as I'm concerned, they can make the playoffs every year if they want, as long as they never, ever, ever win a title, I will be happy. And I can confidently say that they won't.

Uh huh. You keep telling yourself that the Jazz are a peg below the Rox. That may be true, but that is only because they don't have much talent and they lost their only star player earlier this season.

Until the Rockets actually win a playoff series, they'll be in the same boat as the Jazz have been since 2000.

LMFAO, I would probably call the Jazz boat more like a homemade raft with delirious, starving Tom Hanks and Wilson the painted volleyball head from "Castaway" as the crew.

You've just proven my point. You hate the Jazz based on stereotype. Which is really sad.

Sad? Not to me, it's sad if you're a Jazz fan, in more ways than one.

Andre is still young, no one even THOUGHT of him being an All-Star up until he was selected. That doesn't change the fact that many people still have no f'n clue who he is.
