Anything would help, especially if they took one of our PFs out of our hands. But I was watching a Wizards game on LP, and one play I saw basically sums up Kwame: The opponent was shooting FTs, the guy missed the 2nd one and Kwame was staring into space, completely, he had no idea what was going on. Kwame's guy just straight got the ball and put it back up. It was one of the worst plays I've ever seen.
kwame needs to develope a little more to be productive. JVG is NOT the guy for that. see yao, boki, eddie....
I read the Insider rumor on Espn. It says the wizards would be looking to trade Brown for "a top flight small forward and a defensive minded big in return". I guess that takes us out of the bidding since we have neither of those. It says the Sonics, Raptors, hawks, and Knicks are interested.
Maybe we can get Divac and Devan George from the Lakers for Mo Taylor and anyone else they want except for yao/tmac Rudy can have his last "RUDY" player left on the squad.
Just say no to Kwame. For some reason he just never blossomed. Always injured or ailing, and doesn't seem to get it done when he's fine. Amazing waste of talent.
Kwame Brown is certainly intriguing, and he's hovered just below breaking out for a couple of years. It's clear that he has the tools of a #1 pick. It's also clear that he has the mental toughness of the Eddy Curry's of the league. Incredibly inconsistent, somewhat uncoachable, prone to pouting and giving up on his team, etc. Like Drew Gooden, he can have great games, but he has to be coddled and motivated by coaches to a heavy degree to go out and play his best games. Personally, I'd put far more stock in Tyson Chandler. Evan
that or he doesn't know how to develop any young talent. If we did get him he'd suck till we traded him...
I think we all do. Unfortunately Chandler is much more difficult to obtain because of it. It is the inconsistancies in Kwame's game that we lament, but those same inconsistancies are what makes him available. I question Kwame's heart and drive too. However he could be just one of those players that will blossom in a new environment. Perhaps he will never achieve the success he should get from being the #1 pick in the draft, but he still has a chance to be a quality player in the league. And on a team that is already focused on Yao and Tmac, Kwame as the "3rd guy" might welcome that. There would be a lot less pressure and he could just go out and play.
