Dampier is only worth 2M a year, this guy is worth what, 11? Kaman is indeed a good piece to have on a team, despite his looks he can defend, rebound and score well. The problems are that:

    1) He is old. We might be rebuilding as early as next season.
    2) He is injury prone.
    3) We already have 16M invested in Yao and 5M invested in Miller. Add in Kaman at 11M and we have 30+M in just one position! Kaman would make a ton of sense if we hadn't signed brad miller and had been beating teams left and right even without Yao Ming. As it is, no way.

I like Chris, the dude is a quality center and would be an asset to the team but his injury history and contract is just to much of an obstacle for me.

Getting Bogut would be a dream come true, even if he only has one arm... I guess its better than only having one foot.

Bogut is about as untouchable as Jennings.

Hes only 28 but injury prone and overpaid, I'd rather have Gortat

The way Griffin is playing, I am wondering how long will it take till he blows his knee again. I don't wish him any ill at all but many players much smaller and lighter than him often blow out their knees by constantly playing above the rim, how much more for a big guy like him.

Griffin is very explosive and a joy to watch and I hope his body can take the pounding throughout the long NBA seasons. He just has to be very careful and take very good care of his whole body.

Kaman would be a good addition to the Rockets but not at the expense of Yao.

Kaman is a solid player and has been one of the bright spots of the clipper's arsenal, before Griffin came back. This year is looking bleak for him and because of his contract I would just say 'No, no man..'

I've watched Yao's video on Kaman a handful of times, but really.. What IS he saying? lol I'm confused as to what also.

I guess if the Bucks wanted to trade one of the best centers in the league for trash returns - sure! He's available :p

I think it'd be great to get him too - but at 26 with a well rounded game, surely he's the most untouchable on the Bucks roster :(

Gortat would be a foul magnet...If he was as good as yall think he is, surely Van Gundy would use the "twin towers" lineup more often.....not sayin shift his philosophy to this but at least try it every once in awhile

even with his injury history, i'm not sure our grab bag of expirings, young role players, and draft picks would net Kaman. Not unless we'd be willing to take on Baron Davis. Similar to the Iggy + Brand situation philly was shopping last year. However, at the age of 28, he is on the verge of being too old to last throughout the Clippers' rebuilding process. I could see him being shopped sometime next year.

By that time hopefully JHill will have developed to the point where we won't be desperate enough to mention the likes of Chris Kaman.
