So if you get mad at the team after they lose in the first round its okay, but when you get mad at the team after they lose in a game with heavy playoff implications in a HORRIBLE fashion, its not? okay...

That is the exact attitude we should have now. More importantly our team should have it.

I'll care less about how our fans react after a loss. What's the reaction of the team after the loss to the Mavs is More Important. The team cant be upset. The team cant be still whining. The team cant be frustrating. The Rockets should get up from where you fell and need to be ready for the Portland. Let's move on!

    Go Rockets! :)

Most of these Noobkats remember Ralph Sampson from the Simpsons and think Choke City is just a clever title for a S&M film.

I missed the game but as soon as I saw the score I knew it was going to be nothing but negativity here and at least 75% of it was going to be "Coach doesn't get the ball to Yao."

    Indeed.

Although nothing has gone right tonight; already the Nuggets are down by 12.

Maybe they can turn it around. Hopefully something can go the Rockets way before the night is over...

it is natural that fans got upset after a game like this, simply because we love this team. We are not quitters.

I think people are frustrated at not just the loss, but the way it was lost. Its sad to see that your greatest asset is your achilles heel. Even if we match up well with Portland, it doesn't necessarily mean a first round victory. Its the "more of the same" thats frustrating. I was spoiled by the Olajuwon Rockets that had heart. The Mario Elie kiss of death days. The Yao Rockets look like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. I think they all need to go see the Wizard of Oz.

    Oh my god.

So many posters on this board are a joke.

Yes, this loss sucks. Yes, we may not get home court. So what?

We play the Blazers just as good as the Hornets, and (as tonight seemed to show) better than the Mavericks.

Yes, WHEN we advance, we will play the Lakers or Jazz in second round. Even if we had ended up in the other bracket, we would have wound up playing them in the Conference finals. Ya'll say it would be better to play them then, but I can guarantee a Conference Finals loss would be ten times harder than a second round loss (IF we do end up losing to them) and this board will be going ape**** then, just like it is now.

Just breathe guys. We have a solid team, who will give it their all in the playoffs.

And to the dude who said no true fan isn't losing their mind right now... I couldn't disagree more.

A TRUE fan still has faith in his team.

A TRUE fan recognizes that you can't win them all. Dallas was hitting EVERYTHING in the fourth, and sometimes stuff like that happens.

A TRUE fan trusts what he has seen through the whole year (instead of one game) and recognizes that Wafer, Artest, and Brooks are not 'scrubs.'

Winning tonight just was not in the cards. Worse things have happened. Now let's get our game faces on and go kick some Blazer ass!

HCA has done nothing for us in the past 11 years. And I'm pretty sure we won a Chip without it. So start believing.

    WAKE THE HELL UP PEOPLE!

the team defeated themselves.. how can you possibly lift that into triumph by cheering with a smile..?

they have to do their part..

Yep...I don't know why people should expect a sudden turnaround.

    Fronting defense...Yao's eliminated.

The same crap, we go through offensive stretches where we don't have a clue what we're doing...and most nights our defense saves our ***.

Our defense may be able to help us get past Portland...but i'm not really counting on it.

exactly.. it's all self-induced.. self-inflicted.. they control their own destiny.. but they continue that miserable pattern.. of crumbling when the time comes to truly step up to the plate..

Yeah lets go forward with blind faith and write off another 4th quarter disaster because that would be bad for morale.

Whilst I will support the Rockets 100% and go to the home play off games I would be naive to watch the game tonight and walk away satisfied with what I saw.
