I like Granger and I suggest Evans but issues aside there is no reason we should be trading for Granger and taking his contract. We should be focusing on signing Dwight Howard or a PF free agent and after we do focus on signing free agents and trying to keep our assets for a trade at PF if we dont land one in free agency. That's why I mentioned Tyreke eveans because he becomes a free agent. Granger would be nice but only if we end up landing a nice free agent. PF free agency or trade > Granger at the 4 just saying. do like Granger though and would be happy with the pick up nonetheless
cuz im bored... bev / cj / brooks harden / garcia / brooks parsons / delfino granger / smith / motie / white howard / mozgov contenders
Yup. Pacers will be very, very happy if we do that. Hibbert, George, Asik, Lin... SCARY!!! Lin will have a field day passing to Hibbert and George and Asik too happy to clean up the offensive glass because he got another big who can make his life easier at the other end. Granger is a very good talent but he's not worth it...
I agree that it'll be a great complementary deal to a Dwight Howard signing. Run the Granger experiment for the 2013-2014 season and play the best small ball ever. If he sucks, cut him and sign Love or LMA. If he's good, hell try to convince him to take a pay cut so that we can still sign Love or LMA with him as the super 6th man and win the championship.
Steroid knee? err Patellar tendonosis (btw Gasol has it in both knees), the surgery is usually a clean up around the tendon, removing scar tissue, that sort of thing.
2. Harden 3. Parsons 4. Granger 5. Howard Would absolutely destroy teams. Granger used to be an unbelievable defender, and he was one of the deadliest snipers in the entire league from 3, AND he can get to the free-throw line. Will he ever get healthy? I wouldn't trade much, but I would have to consider If we truly had Dwight in the bag.
The Pacers wouldn't be able to take all that salary. They need to re-sign West and then George a year from now. Unless you take on their bad contracts - Mahinmi, Green - it won't work.
I don't really get why people think Indiana are that aggressive in shopping Granger. His value with the injury is low, so they wouldn't get a fair return, if fit, he's exactly what Indiana actually need, a good defender who can actually shoot extremely well (that was sort of the point of their whole team construction), and they don't have to worry about cap space until George's extension in the year after next.
