I doubt we have a shot to get Paul. On RealGM (I know, it's RealGM) "the source" close to Paul said, he would like to go to the Knicks, Magic or Lakers.
    Woow, the Lakers? Damn!

    Lakers with Paul:
    PG: Paul
    SG: KB24
    SF: Ron Ron
    PF: Gasol
    C: The other big guy

They traded an injury prone, maligned, davis for a bag of chips to gsw, but they wil not trade paul inter division to the rockets. Now people can post trade machine scenerios and all sorts of asset type ideas, but its not happening!

If we keep Martin, Ariza, and Yao of course, than we do it but I think the chances of getting CP are way slimmer than the chances we had for getting Bosh. I think we would be better off getting a SF like Iggy. We wouldn't have to give up the whole house.

And what would the Lakers offer? If that deal ever comes thorugh that would be shamefull.

Right now, Hornets GM can get much better deals.

The Spurs might not say it, but they would send Tony Parker in a heartbeat for him.
We might put up almost any package.
Portland would do anything to pair up Paul and Roy with Aldridge and "Oden".
Imagine what they could get from teams like the Bulls or the Mavs...

    No sense at all...

hris Paul is not going to the Lakers. They do not have as much as us to offer us in a trade, and if the Hornets are stupid enough to give paul to the lakers like the gasol situation in 2008 then they deserve another Katrina. The hell with where he wants to play. he is'nt a free agent. he will be a "good little boy" and play where he is sent. F^%# these little premadona punks. I'd love to be locked in a room with padded walls with him. I'll teach him the meaning of pain.

The Lakers, Knicks, and Magic are teams a lot of players want to go to and if the players had their way, their would only be 5 or 6 teams in the NBA. If he really wants to be traded in order to win, Houston has the most to offer and Morey and Les are in it to win it now which is the reason he wants to be traded since he thinks NO isn't commited to winning

With that said I wouldn't be dissapointed keeping Brooks and not getting Paul, even thought I think CP3 is the best PG in the league, PG isn't our biggest need, SF is

It's not happening! CP3 will land either NY or LA. but Walsh will demand a lot to give CP3 away. Brooks will be just fine for the Rockets.

I just don't see it happening for the Rockets. Sure I'd kinda like to have Paul on this team, but at what cost? Would Paul be happy or just waiting for his contract to run out and bolt? For as great as he is, I'm just not feeling this right now.

I'm totally digging our team right now, which consists of a bunch of hard nosed unselfish guys who'll lay it on the line every night. Can this team be upgraded, absolutely, but unless we are presented with an opportunity that is a no brainer upgrade, I want to roll with what we have.

Something tells me we are going to make some serious noise this year.

Ya know, I really thought that after Bosh finally joined a team, it was all gonna be over and we could get over this fantasy speculation garbage.

Boy was I wrong. You guys just move right on to the next guy don't ya?

Nobody is gonna offer them a better player than Brooks in the first place back in the trade so we automatically would have the upper hand if Morey wanted to go all in starting with Brooks. So its only a matter of if Paul wants to come here and if Morey wants to give up the assets necessary. Its really that simple if they are willing to trade him which they have no choice if he really demands a trade. So its up to Morey? You want Paul or not? Morey...

If that were true the deal would be done tomorrow.

I think New Orleans would much rather have Bynum...

Lakers have nothing to offer. He isnt going to the Lakers. Thats wishful thinking. Maybe Orlando or the Knicks have something?

Brooks then who else is offered from any other team? Anyone? Nobody better right off the bat if Morey wants the deal. Its that simple. If they want to move him? They would be stupid not to get a Aaron Brooks type and young back for him? Who is Orlando and Lakers or Knicks gonna give to start off better than Brooks? Then what else could they offer better? Nothing. If he wants to come here. You know we could trade Yao for his buddy Carmello to keep him here past his second year when its up. OR????? We could let Yaos contract expire and sign Carmello Anthony as a free agent with Yaos money. Keeping him here and getting Carmello and instantly making us the favorites in the West to Face Lebron, Wade, and Bosh every year. ;)
