D Collison is a nobody as of now and Brooks is a known 19 points game guy already. They wont be hurting if it turns out OK. Hey things worked out in Toronto and Cleveland great huh? Well I guess not. Thats ok I dont want to get rid of Brooks anymore. Brooks is always healthy and Paul isnt. We need to build around Brooks because Yao and Martin are nt gonna be healthy so one of them need to be replaced or both and not Brooks. Thats the real problem we need to fix. Find guys are dependable for 82 game seasons. Yao and Martin cant coexist that means. Brooks cant be moved for an injury prone lately to help add to that now. Brooks is the stable part of the team now. Every tem should be turned down when inquiring about our most durable and reliable starter from now on.

If we have a chance to add CP3...why not?? Seriously, CP3 want to go to NY...who the hell NY have that entice the Hornets?? NOTHING! CP3 want to go Lakers? YEa right. Dallas?? Who beside Dirk that New Orleans want??

We have the best trade assets...we can give up Brooks, Hill, Jeffries, drafts.

Darren Collison averaged 19 points and 9 assists as a starter...

    48% shooting

    43% from three

    36 games...

    Is he still a nobody?

Danny Granger over CP3? Danny Granger isn't a huge upgrade because we have a similar player in Kevin Martin. CP3 upgrading AB would be a big upgrade.. he can control a game.

Frankly, I think either player is unlikely, but the more I reflect about it, I don't believe Paul is that much of an upgrade over our current guards. I don't think we have seen the best of K.M. or Brooks.

Should Houston Help Facilitate Paul Trade to Orlando?

I think we should do what we can to prevent Paul from ending up in New York to maximize the value of the Knick's picks.

    Houston Sends:
    Jared Jeffries
    Jordan Hill
    David Andersen

    Houston Receives:
Emeka Okafor, Orlando 2011 1st Rounder

    -----

    Orlando Sends:
    Jameer Nelson
    Marcin Gortat
    2011 1st Rounder

    Orlando Receives:
    Chris Paul

    -----

    New Orleans Sends:
    Chris Paul
    Emeka Okafor

    New Orleans Receives:
    Jameer Nelson
    Marcin Gortat
    Jordan Hill
    Jared Jeffries
    David Andersen

PG: Aaron Brooks | Kyle Lowry
SG: Kevin Martin | Chase Budinger | Jermaine Taylor
SF: Trevor Ariza | Shane Battier (exp)
PF: Luis Scola | Emeka Okafor | Patrick Patterson
C: Yao Ming | Brad Miller

    Orlando 2011 1st Rounder, Knicks 2011 1st Rounder, Knicks 2012 1st Rounder

I would do the trade with the intention of angling for Granger, using the variety of picks, Shane Battier/Trevor Ariza, and Emeka Okafor

They're not going to accept a near-max contract guy to play 15-20 minutes a game without getting Chris Paul in the deal (and they probably wouldn't even hold on to Okafor if they DID get Paul).

    Seriously, Les has limits.

How would getting Granger be at all dependent on getting Okafor? We already have the assets if Indiana is willing to move Granger (which I don't think they are)

Not saying its dependant on getting Okafor. What I'm saying is if Paul ends up in NYK, the probability that Melo will follow will be much higher... Pretty much destroying the value of the two 1st round picks owed to us by NYK.

Think of it this way, If we take Okafor, we get 2 high first round picks in addition to the pick we would demand from Orlando.

If we dont try and interject, its possible that those picks from New York are barely worth anything. That means no Granger.

dont forget the advantages of having 3 first round picks for next year. If that Knicks pick is worth anything, would very well trade all three to move very high up into the draft, maybe top three. How nice would it be to be able to land a player of John Wall's caliber?

Orlando's pick isn't going to be worth much. Would rather just let Orlando swallow Okafor's contract. Orlando would be getting away with murder if they got Paul for Nelson, Gortat and a 1st rounder. You almost sound like an Orlando fan...
