He's thinking of suing DD for child support for their love child. Why do you think he was so eager to get back to Greece? The salad and roast chicken?
I saw that play. The fans in the arena and those of us watching on TV were almost the only ones to see it since everyone else on both teams and the refs had already moved to the other side of the court. Billy Paultz had been leaning on Dream all game and he finally just had enough. The Dream was great regardless of that punch or any other punches he through during his career. And I would take Paul in a heartbeat.
Hornets franchise is a mess. Brandnew coach and GM. And it's owner basically has a foot outside the door. They have made no changes to their roster. So it's understandable that the best point guard in the league wants out of the mess. Wouldn't you?
This is the key point here, last year they made a change and it just didn't work out. This year they have made no changes...while many other teams have. Hornets were no where in those Jefferson talks, it seemed like they were content with trying their luck again this year and they may get a unhappy superstar now.
Regardless of what the clutchfans' analysts want, an offer will be placed. Whether or not it is good enough and accepted by New Orleans, that's out of the Rockets' brain trust control. The only thing that can do is make an offer they think is best for them and fair enough for the Hornets while keeping enough here to make Paul realize that this team is good enough to win and get to where he wants to go. The chance to get a top 10 player is one you have to try. Forget all this talk about leaving in two years, they will cross that bridge if they get him and if it got that far. At worst, 1st round draft picks and trade exceptions are not a bad thing. Winning goes a long way in dictating a player's emotions. He wins with Yao and the other guys, he'd want to stay. Artest was acquired knowing that he would likely bolt if there was no conference finals and championship. Morey made an honest attempt to make the team better by getting Ron. It's no knock to any of the players we have now, it's just that Paul is regarded as the best or second best pg in the league. If he lands here, there will be talk of championships. But if he doesn't land here, then we'll play with whoever is in uniform. That's fine too. But to call it a mistake for just wanting to make an offer and investigate what getting Paul would take, that's a little crazy. He'd take this team to a whole new level.
ok i think we should get chris Paul..........ok like if u knew me u would think i was going crazy because i LOVE AB like u have no idea but i think we need a real allstare pg NOW not at the end of the 2010-2011 season then ab while probably be a allstare probably so idk but i think since yao is older and soo is Luis soo like we need a really really good pg NOW and thats chris paul
As long as Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Steve Nash, Chauncey Billups, Tony Parker and Tyreke Evans are in the Western Conference, Brooks won't be making any all-star teams.
A few questions...... 1) Are the Hornets THAT stupid to trade they're best player to a iner-conference team? 2) Houston is NOWHERE on his alleged list of teams. How can we convince him and the hornets franchise to trade with us? 3) What will we have to give up? If it's any combination of Brooks & Martin, it's too much I dont know if we have a legit shot guys. What's frustrating is Dallas is on his list and we're not. If the Mavs werent on the list i'd feel better. But being from Houston I cant stand snobby ass dallas ppl (jus my opinion).
I dont get it either. Its kind of weird lately. Almost as many fans who want to stay pat at all costs as the ones who want to win Championships with Championship caliber players. Its like we are protecting mediocrity on purpose. Kind of weird mindset. Always went the best possible and upgrade rout myself.
1) I guess it matters the detail of how broke that owner is? None of know the real story, the only thing we know is what they want the media to know. So we can only assume they want to save money, but the real question is to what degree. So honestly no one on this board can answer that question. Its not about stupidity but rather how broke is broke. (heres a sample, if the only way the bank wouldnt repo your car was to take a job in Dallas (or insert most hated city here) (and yes the car is your favorite and very needed) would you do it? 2) DD already answered that question. He isnt a FA. He has NO leverage on where he goes. NOH can trade him for TE's to the Raptors (insert a non ideal city to live) if they wanted to. 3) I agree
Brooks yes in a trade. Martin no. Its not like anyone else is offering Brooks type player in the first place to them. So they have no leverage to also ask for Martin. They can only get one guy and either one of them would be better than anyone they could get anyways from anybody else. Brroks can score 19 points game. Thats already more than Paul did last season. If they dont replace that production and possibly replace Paul with another guy who they can hype like Brooks his young and can score. Then thats their problem and they can go the Cleveland and Toronto rout of destroying their teams with no players back of worth. Just scrap it all and move the team and we can move on as is. Rockets need to eventually upgrade though. This is just another chance in many thats came along lately. Their will be others but Paul is a premium guy. Brooks is too for what they should be looking for. Anything else and they are crazy.
I changed my mind. I want to keep Brooks now. I just realized we have Yao and Martin. Adding an Inujured point guard isnt ideal to Yao and Martin. We need to fill one of their roster spots. Nevermind on Chris Paul. Thats would make us three deep on the injury front probably. We need to subtract these type of athletes and add healthy guys around Brooks and Ariza our two most dependable health wise.
They got a guy named D Collison who put up better numbers in his rookie year compared to AB in rookie and 2nd year..... They wont be hurting from AB not in a trade..... and can you give us the link that they arent getting a player still on the rookie contract that performs well??? Thats just a wild assumption....
In response to 1....Okay the owner broke. But would it make sense for him to trade his ONLY money generator? But that actually might work out for us because Aaron Brooks is actually one of the better replacements at the PG position. He's cheap and still young. So that works in our favor. But we are in the same conference which means they'll have to see Paul six times a year. I dont think they're THAT stupid to trade Paul to us. Even if the Rockets have the best deal. Hopefully i'm wrong
and is this really serious?!?! ok stat wise, by .3 but if your counting that from last year, gosh! but honestly I dont know why im siding Paul cause I really dont like him, we dont need another flopper on the team. well maybe we do if it means winning but damn I hate flopping
I think the conference is 3 times while division is 4 times and non conference is 2 times. I think? I really doubt we play a team 6 times without PO's in mind.
