hollinger's predictions use his PER formulations. since yao's is "N/A" it is not being included in the trade calculations, that's why the results are the way they are. yao's big and important, so is his PER. thus the prediction is very inaccurate.

    Incorrect.

Akeem Olajuwon, the Houston Rockets' rookie center who sucker-punched Billy Paultz of the Utah Jazz during their National Basketball Assn. playoff game April 28, was fined $1,500.

The two players were under the Houston basket in the closing minutes of Utah's 104-97 victory that knocked the Rockets out of the playoffs, when Olajuwon threw a right hand that hit Paultz on the side of the face while Paultz was looking away.

Scotty Stirling, the NBA vice president of operations, said in a letter to Olajuwon that Paultz "was in no way prepared for the punch and totally defenseless. While this flagrant act was undetected by the officials working the game, it nonetheless violates all of the NBA's principles of fair play and good sportsmanship."

So is Olajuwon also a punk?

Chris PAul is coming off a Knee injury. Gotta hate those knee injuries for athletes. Another thing is he gets owned by Deron Williams. Overrated player with inflated stats and contract.

For the last time elite pg' s do not get you championships. Big men and D win Championships.

Midget Paul will not bring us a Championship. Just another sorry wanna me that can't get a ring or even think of getting one on his own.

Win a NBA championship in NewOrleans and you will be a god. They're still celebrating there Super BOWl victory.

A player that doesn't want to grow with his team through thick and thin is no player I want. It's not as if he doesn't have a little help. Players Like Paul, Lebron, and Bosh. Got no heart no team loyalty. It's all about them and I would be surprised to ever see any of these guys get a ring.

I pray to gos Morey doesn't fall for the Hype Machine. Stats can only show you some much in basketball(team chemistry goes a far way). Not so cut and dry like baseball.

Chris Paul is excellent pg with no heart. Bringing to this team does nothing toward a championship especially if its at the cost of losing any of the core. Unless you wan t start rebuilding the team again.

New Orleans only cares about him money wise. Because he is the face of the franchise losing him will hurt the pockets. But they have Darren Collison in the wing and he'll replace Paul with not much if any drop off.

As far as I'm concerned Paul is no competitor. Because the Hornets are not that far removed from getting to playoffs. They still have talent , but he can't carry them.

If Chris Paul ends up in NY, you can kiss those lottery picks goodbye. One advantage NY has, they have the cap space to absorb Okafor's contract, which is the Hornets priority.

So we end up with no star on our team and no lottery picks. Another decade of being good but not good enough. Oh well.

This is what NY would realistically have to give up to land both CP3 and Okafor.

    Curry + Azuibuke + Chandler + Randolph + Douglas + Turiaf for CP3 + Okafor

    CP3/Felton
    Walker/???
    Gallinari/???
    Amare???
    Okafor/Mozgov

LOL, Hornets would be on crack to accept that deal, plus NY doesn't have any picks next year either.

Different league. That stuff happened all the time and suspending players for even a game was unusual. Akeem was one bad ass mofo back then. DaDakota seems to have a "thing" about Paul and has had that "thing" for a long time. I'm tempted to say it coincides with us getting Brooks, who DD would have a child with were that humanly possible, but that is just a hunch. Personally, were Paul really available, I'd trade Brooks and other significant talent to get him. I really like Aaron, but he simply isn't in that class at all.

They would have to throw in Gallinari as well. Basically NY would be CP3, Amare, Okafor and nobody else. And if I were New Orleans, I would still not like that deal because they would get no picks. NY really doesn't have the assets to make a trade with NO, unless NO is really stupid.

How are we going to match CP3 and Okafor's contracts?

I would too, but I really do not like Paul and it has nothing to do with Brooks.

    Lol @ you.

Paul has done everything he can for his team, I love how people (who aren't super athlethes) want players to sit around and do nothing on bad teams....then at the same time want the players to only care about winning.

When a player says "I need to leave from here, this team is in no situation to win." then people go on about loyalty as if some of these teams have loyalty to any of these players.
