not the only way, for sure. but he's better than anything on their roster right now. if you have a chance to pick up a player in that caliber, you do it.

how old was he in that video? 18? i'm not ready to write him off our roster forever for what he did in a game as a kid

I think this whole preferred list of teams is BS. Unlike say Bosh, CP3 really has no leverage in deciding where he wants to be.

I think Houston has the most quality and quanity assets the NO would want. A deal with Brooks and Hill as the entree and couple of sweeteners and appetizers might get Hornets' appetite full.

The question I want to ask is if we do indeed trade for him, do we get his Bird's rights?

And to anyone who would not want him because he is a flopper and a punk, name me one team that has a championship had a superstar that was a "nice guy"? Kobe was an ass, KG and Pierce were asses, Shaq was an ass, MJ was an ass, Tim Duncan wasn't an ass but he had asses around him to make up for it, and even during his earlier years, Hakeem was definetly an ass.

This Rockets team needs someone that isn't afraid to be dirty. Nice guys finish last.

Sure he does, he can tell a team he won't be signing an extension.

It is the exact situation as TMac had when he was with Orlando...minus 1 year.

So what if he punched a guy in the nuts? People do stupid ish when their young.

Hakeem used to always fight with players, did that make you not want him?

correction: Akeem was an ass. He never won a ring.

Hakeem was much more in control of himself, and genuinely a nice guy. He won rings.

Sometimes you gotta gamble in order to win the prize.

If CP3 spends a year in Rockets red, trust me, he will sign an extension. With a healthy Yao and CP3, this team is unbeatable.

Plus, his contract expires in 2013, so we can at least have him for 2-3 years. I guess that is a reasonable window for a championship run.

Plus, if we get him, don't we own his Bird's Rights?

Trust you, so, Daryl Morey and Les, should trust you.

Not the player they are thinking about acquiring, no, not him, but you.

Sorry, I am not buying it, you don't risk your future on a guy that doesn't want to be here in the first place.

I think we as Rockets fans have been spoiled by having angels and saints on our Roster.

The last "supposed" bad guy on our roster was Artest and he hardly did anything to say " OMG! That guy is an animal!" Also we had T-Mac, but he really didn't do anything off the court which warrented him being an *******, maybe a jackass, but not an *******.

i also think we're reaching by calling CP3 a punk or labelling him as a bad guy, to begin with.

Well, do you have regular conversations with Morey or Les?

It seems like you know alot about what goes on in the front office and the minds of Morey and Les.

What type of player are Morey and Les going after? You sure seem to have alot of confidence in who they are or not after.

Are you some sort of insider? If so, I will shut up then.

Definitely don't like fans like you. Though I'm not on the DD Hoosiers bandwagon. Doesn't there have to be a line somewhere?

Would you cheer for a murderer if he helped your team win? Would you actively want the Rockets to pursue rapists? Where is your line?

Sure. That's one play, but Chris Paul has a history of multiple incidents. He's a low character guy. There's no question.

Comparing him to Hakeem is a travesty. Hakeem fought back after Mitch Kupchak incited him in order for both of them to get throw out of games for instance. It was a strategic play on the Laker's part.

I don't believe Hakeem ever sucker-punched someone. The Rockets of all teams are familiar with the damage that a sucker-punch can do.

I think the hatred for CP3 for Rockets fans stems from the Rafer Alston incidents in the past. I remember, because I was sitting a couple of rows behind the bench, that CP3 and Rafer would always get into fights and crap.

Woo, woo. Since when was CP3 a rapist or murderer, LOL. If you show me his criminal history, I will shut up, until then, he hasn't done anything serious to be labeled the next coming of Lucifer.

CP3 is an incredible talent. Fights do happen from time to time in basketball, hes not a dirty player just a competitive one who wants to win games. I find it pretty humorous how some of you wouldn't want him on this rockets team because of a few incidents that happened in the past.

Well you know its bad when the league and players are blackballing us from wanting to come here like the plague. It means Tmac and Yao screwed us up big time. Yao needs to go if we cant lure anyone here with him. It plain and simple he hinders our growth as a team and is a negative in that aspect. So we need to find a true Star to replace him that others will consider being teammates with.

and what player do theyhave in mind? They arent getting them either the way they have been doing business lately. They have to overpay to get back their own players and former players like BradMiller to begin with. They know nothing about taking advantage of opportunities. An Opportunity with Paul means you get first crack at Carmello Anthony his friend when he is a free agent next year. Remember they want to form a Superteam with each other. You already have Paul on the team? Your already halfwayt there. Some of you are such geniuses though.
