Good riddance. Don't have the time to pull up old threads but there was in fact a national study done a few years which found that on average the cities which implemented red light camera systems had also tweaked the time of yellow light by a few tenths of a second for those gotcha moments. Anyway fatboys lay off the doughnuts and start patrolling public intersections for your next Christmas bonus. Too bad now you have to work for a change.
More nanny-statism. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/waOdmBdcS8w?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/waOdmBdcS8w?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
At the end of the day, I always felt like the cameras either worked - and they helped reduce the number of people who were careless at red lights; or they didn't work - and the people didn't really care that they were there and still would drive as horribly as they usually do. But hey, at least when they get into the inevitable accident there's a video record of it. *shrug* They just never bothered me but certainly I can see how there is a problem if a person didn't actually commit the violation. I really don't think most people were even trying to say that, to be honest. It really wasn't a bunch of 'righteous indignation' as you felt I really think many folks thought that you were asking the question that way. Regardless, with the info you have from the pictures you definitely have a complaint and I hope it works out for you. Seemed like they were related, considering the camera subject matter and the right on red situation. Especially since you said it was the reason your stance has changed. (And since I was one of the people that responded there, I felt bad that you thought I was ragging on you or trying to get judgemental on you. I honestly though I was just answering the question. I think that was the case for a lot of people in the thread considering the way it was presented. Anything else wasn't my intention). As for the money, well, again, in the end, it seems to me to matter very little if the actions in question are legitimate violations. If not, then that would be a valid concern.
