I would rather them ban cell phones while driving, seen so many idiots chatting away and get in wrecks or near collisions.
Always thought this was a silly thing to be against. But then again, I don't run red lights and generally try to be a safe driver.
I guess you stop for exactly 15 seconds every time you turn right on red at a deserted intersection as well.
Might want to add IPods to that list. My son has been hit 2 times in a year from the guy behind him messing with his ipod. Create a playlist and stick to it people. Or just go shuffle and hit next.
I come to a full and complete stop every single time I am at a red light (turning right) or stop sign regardless of how deserted it may be.
Do Red Light Cameras Reduce Accidents? Spoiler Reader Digest Version: maybe yes, maybe no. BTW the amazing facts that I wanted a link for I can only guess moestavern19 that wants our police force to gain competence by manually writing every red light violation they see.
So, when do we start shipping all these illegal cameras to the suburbs? I bet 1960 could probably use like 8 dozen more.
Red light camera supporters; how do you feel about "no refusal" policies for suspected drunk drivers?
I'm really pretty surprised how badly you took that. Didn't expect it in what seemed to be pretty reasonable responses. *shrug* oh well
I think that if they leave them up the citizens should take the enforcement of the law into their own hands and shoot them down. -- Or just refuse to pay any tickets.
Isn't it interesting how, after the vote, city officials are complaining about how it will be a $10 million loss.....but not saying a word about how it might affect safety? That alone is a clear demonstration that it's all about money. Quite telling, isn't it?
