You are what we need in this team. With Scola and Ming, our Bigs are set. your offense is much needed and also your height on the inside.

There are so many reasons to join us in clutch city such as:
Play with players who bust their ass for each other every night without any second thoughts, and who are proven winners with great chemistry

Playing with Yao will give you a whole new fanbase that will make you an all star starter for the who timeyou play with Yao

Daryl Morey will produce a team of players that will help you acheive your goal of an NBA championship

A good smart coach in Rick Adelman

You will be the main guy, not behind a kobe, or lebron.

There are no guys on the squad that will blow up or hamper the teams chemistry

Dear, Chris

Come to Houston. Sure, LA, Chicago, New York, New Jersey, and Miami sound nice, but Houston is the only place were you will be the centerpiece, not a sidekick to LeBron, Wade or Kobe, even Rose.

Also, Houston is a laid back type of town who has the most loyal fanbase in sports. You won't even have to pay income taxes!

You will be surrounded with great veterans and young up and coming talent as well. Imagine Yao being fronted and doubled by the opposing center and power foward, you will be open all day! Just ask Scola how much his game flourised when Yao was in the post.

You will be part of a franchise that has thrived on a winning culture dating back from the Moses Malone and Rudy T era, to the Hakeem and Sampson era, to the Hakeem 93-95 Championship eras, all the way to the Yao era!

By now in your career you know it takes more than 2 great players on a team to win a championship. I want to know if you really think you can be on a starting lineup better than the Rockets?

You are the forgotten Superstar because you are hid away in another country. If you come to Houston you will be in the fourth largest city in America and will still be the go to player. There is not a single team in the NBA besides the Rockets where you could come and be the best player and have a legitimate shot at winning a title next season. With a line up of Brooks, Martin, Ariza, You and Yao there is nothing teams could do to match our height at the 4 and 5 and our speed at the 1 and 2 add in a winner and defender in Ariza and you have a well rounded starting 5.

Let's be realistic. Do you really want Lebron James tearing you apart when the team fails. Do you want Dwyane Wade criticizing you when the chemistry falls off the map? Do you want Kobe to put his ego over you and the team? You're about to sign a big contract and a long contract at that. Make the right choice at this time with the Rockets. We have all of the right role players and the perfect concept and chemistry. You need a team that already has chemistry like the Rockets. You need an organization you can TRUST. Chris, you know the NBA will bring you fortune as it already has. You may have played with the redeem team but you had to. You had no choice but to get along. The rockets are humbled as well as the city. Money isn't everything but it most definitely helps. Why not settle in Houston? Invest with your new contract? We have the best businesses in the country. World class hospitals and educational institutes for the future of your kids. Futuristic and modern technologies designed in homes and surrounding neighborhoods. The best chefs, the best fans, the best homes, the greatest organization and city for you. The best investment. Any other city would be for just that small moment of fame. You need every penny for this contract and it would be wise for this tax-free state. Houston may not have the big lights of NYC or LA but we have the best place to live in worth our buck.

Hey, i saw a lot of people citing China as a positive factor to absord C.Bosh coming into Houston.

ALso i used to see a lot of people sniff at China, they think CHina people are not reasonable, they think China is nothing other than Big.

Now i see a lot people changed their ideas just because the situation changed:we want C.Bosh.

I am proud of being a chinese, also a rox fan.
My heart falls and rise as rox city falls and rises.

 

So how are we going to get Bosh to read these?

Few on this board ever "sniffed" at China. At worst, pre-Yao, China was ignored...because this is a basketball board and pre-Yao, China wasn't relevant in a basketball sense.

The idea that people on this board, or generally, are only pro-China because being so gets us something we want is silly (aside from the general rule that to a certain extent, this is true of all of humanity - you are nice to those who in some way benefit your life).

But it would be stupid to not point out to Bosh that if he does join the Rockets, he will open himself up to a whole new level of celebrity/marketing on the Asian continent.

Finally, your signature includes reference to McGrady and Martin. Perhaps you are just listing players you like and their "nicknames" - though it seems like you are listing a Rockets 5-man squad...except that Martin came when McGrady left, so that's not possible.

As for Bosh, there are some obvious reasons he should consider the Rockets.

1. Winning - of the teams he's considering, he's as or more likely to be successful on the Rockets as he is on any other team, even a Knicks squad with Lebron. I think Bosh on the Rockets is competitive with Bosh on the Thunder or Bosh on the Bulls, if the Bulls also got another top tier free agent and kept Rose/Noah.

2. Coaching - Adelman is the pre-eminent coach of all the teams he's considering. Moreover, Adelman coaches an offensive system that is a perfect fit for Bosh's game.

3. Personal - Bosh is from Texas, but is trying to avoid getting caught up in his home town of Dallas. Houston gets him back home, out of the frigid Toronto winters, back to zero state income tax, etc.

4. China - As noted, ignoring the potential marketing opportunities China presents would be stupid. China is a highly advanced country and their basketball fans already know Bosh, but join Yao and the Rockets and that just opens new doors.

5. Chemistry - The Rockets team consist of a bunch of great guys who get along well, like each other, hang out during off days, are competitive, hard working, want to win, etc. There are no knuckle-heads on the team. They truly seem to enjoy playing basketball, while simultaneously wanting to win. Bosh, with his care-free but competitive personality, I think would be a good fit on that front.
