People are getting their feelings hurt because Bosh didn't put us on his short list. 'If he doesn't want us, I don't want him.'

Guess what? Most players are acquired through trades, the draft, or because they wanted to make the most money. It's a business. Do you think everyone on this team is here because Houston is their favorite team or city? Whatever the case, they end up here, they act like professionals, and everyone realizes winning is mutually beneficial to the player and the team. Eventually players grow to love the organization and the city, and vice versa.

And if you work out the logic, if Bosh is convinced to come here it will be because he WANTS to...nullifying the complaints here.

As for my pitch...

Twin Towers:

Olajuwon/Sampson

Duncan/Robinson

Gasol/Bynum - they aren't in the same league as the other duos,...but in this day and age it's good enough...make no mistake this is the Laker's major advantage in the playoffs; these playoffs prove that size still matters

Bosh/Yao - GAME OVER...the league has not seen this combination of height and skill in years

Bosh, you will love it here. Fans are great. Place is great. And we need you! Come to us, and you'll get a chance of getting the ultimate prize...the championships ring. Just give a thought, look at how far this team got without any stars, imagine with you, with Yao. We could turn this into a contending team away. We are only one Chris Bosh away from winning the championship.

WHY HOUSTON ??

if he wants to win he should come to Houston, but I don't think he wants to win he is just like all other free agents players looking for money.

Chris,

Come to Houston and add your name to a list of Great Big Men.

Elven Hayes
Moses Malone
Ralph Sampson
Hakeem Olajuwan
Otis Thorpe
Charles Barkley
Yao Ming
Chris Bosh

The Houston Rockets have assembled the greatest list of good supporting players in the league they are just looking for that one special player with the Heart of a Champion. If thats you then no other team makes sense.

I'll make sure Bosh reads the best of them ... not worried about that. But I'd like to keep this thread on track. If your goal is to tell Bosh off or rip those who post positive comments about coming to Houston -- pick another thread. Don't use this one. Thanks...

Why should he come to Houston... well the fanbase rivals the Lakers in terms of fans outside of Houston. :)

As a former accounting employee, I can say no state tax is a huge benefit.

The people in the organization are top notch... and your teammates are good professional people who like to have a good time.

Plus the person who posted about the record without Yao and the possibilities for next year is solid. The sky is the limit!

Bosh:

This city of Houston is hungry. The Rockets have an organization where winning a championship can be a reality because of what the owner is willing to do to reach that ultimate goal. We see you as someone who has the same desire as our city. We will embrace you as we do all of our rocket players. Don't count Houston out, don't underestimate the Rockets talent that already exists. Let us be your vehicle to a legacy you can have being a part of the city of Houston.

.. and finally never underestimate the heart of a Champion
-Rudy T. (after we won our first back-to-back titles)

respectfully,
-Your fans.

Hi Chris,

In the NBA it is all about winning, earning and chemistry. Houston offers the best opportunity to do great in all three areas. From a basketball standpoint, you would fit in with the Rockets like a glove. Adding you to the team would make the Rockets one of the most potent teams in the league. Your outside shooting would mesh beautifully with our sweet shooting backcourt and the unstoppable low post presence of Yao Ming. The team could also be formidable on the fastbreak, as well. Defensively, the Rockets would again be dominant with Yao and you as the anchor. Join the Rockets and you would be on a legitimate championship contender from day one.

From an earning point of view, the Rockets can make a suitable sign and trade partner with the Raptors to earn you a full salary without gutting our roster. There is no state income tax and the city offers plenty of amenities that athletes from all over the country enjoy. There are also limitless opportunities for you to become a global sports figure through Yao's Chinese connection. The fame and earning potential in this situation dwarfs those that might be had on any other team. In Chicago, Miami, New York, or Los Angeles you would be just another sports figure, but in Houston you would be a global superstar without all of the pressure of being in a fishbowl.

Finally, I think Houston is the best situation for you beyond the money and fame. Playing with the Rockets would also give you the opportunity to work with a deep roster, a great owner, hall of fame coach and a brilliant and resourcefull GM. No other prospective team on your list offers you the same franchise wide talent and stability. The roster is full of high character guys who are talented, tough and don't quit. We also have a great basketball tradition with a fanbase that hungers for a return to dominance. Come join the tradition of great Rockets big men like Elvin Hayes, Moses Malone, Ralph Sampson, Hakeem Olajuwon and Yao Ming. Lead us to the promised land again. Be a Rocket, Chris.

I'll win this one.

Mr. Bosh, You are making a big mistake playing with Wade in Miami. He is pushing 30 and injuries every year. The difference between Rockets and Miami,is we have youth and talent and role players and a core. Miami will lose its only young player,(Beasley) in a sign and trade for you. You will literally be with Wade and nothing else. Good luck getting past the Lebron Bulls with that terrible Heat roster.Have fun for the next 7 years with an aging Wade, and 8 minimum players.

If you want to play for Lakers, I understand. They are smart (unlike Miami) and have built a team of youth and talent. Problem is you wont have Phil Jackson anymore, and show me a championship Kobe has won without Phil? You cant. And oh, just like Wade ,Kobe is pushing 32. Have fun for the next 7 years with an aging Kobe.

I hear you put Chicago on your list. To bad for you, Lebron is going there. They are not targeting you as their first choice, you are SLOPPY SECONDS behind Lebron, and even if they do trade for you, you will be known as Lebrons role player for 7 years. You will win several titles, but Lebron will get ALL the mvps, all the finals mvps, and you will just be a role player with Noah and Rose. Your numbers will take a HUGE hit because there is only 1 ball.

That leaves Knicks. Please tell me your joking. Please. If you want to play with those terrible players for 7 years, it just makes no sense. The Rockets destroyed The Knicks twice this year and thats WITHOUT Yao and You. Oh,did I mention we have the Knicks first round draft choices for the next 2 years. You will have no future, and no chance to past the Lebron Bulls either.Im not buying it.

That leaves the Nets. Brook Lopez and a bunch of crap. You must have forgotten 2 years go when Yao destroyed Lopez. If you go there, you are simply wasting your time. Id rather have you goto the other teams on your list than this team.

That leaves the Rockets. Your numbers will take a hit. We have so many good players there is only 1 ball. You have a chance to be a household name across the world to billions with Yaos popularity. You will also have the luxury of Chinese deals that other Rockets have . You will be the number 1 option, but we have enough depth, and stars, that should you get injured we can still make playoffs. No state income tax, closer to relatives in Dallas, and and easier pathway to the playoffs instead of facing Wade/Lebron every year.

We dont even have to gut the team to get you. We have so many young talents, that a sign and trade will only increase our talent not deplete it.

I just dont understand why you have Knicks on your list instead of Houston. I mean, Bulls,Lakers I can understand but Knicks? Listen,If you think playing in a bigger market is going to help your career I got news for you, winning is the end all be all. If you cant carry that Knick sorry roster to the finals, you will be labeled poorly and the big market medias will never give you a break. Plus the city is dangerous. Good luck walking down times square .

Look, Knicks state tax is %6. Thats 1 million you lose every year for your contract. Put down the remote, and laptop and give Morey a call about how to win with quality role players instead of be double teamed constantly on that silly Knicks roster.

Out.

i am not trying to be pessimistic. so far, all i see are so dry. none of them can really touch his heart. none of them will be dramatically different from similar thing from other team fans. we need something very unique and eye popped.

if i were you, i would ask for unique ideas how to make bosh eye popped from our very creative fans. i am not good at it but i will start it.

find a way to come up a petition. ask all rox fans, including fans from china, to sign up. if we do good, we should be able to collect millions signatures. no team can come close to us. his eye should be popped out when he sees the #. it has a side effect. he will automatically secure a position in all star team every year before vote starts.
