So, what you are saying is we need to get rid of everybody but Lin? Or does that include Lin because his assist numbers are so low? Enough with the knee jerk threads already. This team needs to get used to each other. They need to figure out how to best include Dwight, they need to find out how to make the twin towers work, they need to see about the 4 spot. Last year was an exception, usually it takes a lot of time for a team to click when you add a superstar. This year we are seeing what it usually is like when you add a superstar. It takes time. Oh, and about your #1 thingy - if your best player has a really bad game, chances are you will lose in the finals. Miami would have had a tough time against the Spurs with a real bad game by James. But it would be nice if Houston fans accept, what many analysts are saying: Harden IS a superstar. One of the best scorers and creators in the league. His defense sucks, mostly because of effort - but he is also still really young.
I'm sorry to offend the board and I'm sorry if you're a James Harden fan. (I was since, OKC). In comparison, Miami have Lebron and Wade. Even next to a superstar like Lebron, Wade still put up very good numbers. Not to mention Chris Bosh also in the starting lineup. If u trade Harden for Wade and put him in the lineup with Lebron, I'm pretty sure the Heat will stink because of Harden ball hogging abilitieeeeees. What does Houston have? Harden and who? Parson? I'm sorry but all Harden do is ISO and try to draw fouls on every attempt. Parsons just fake a shot every attempt and drive. They do not know how to change their game. This makes it very easy for other teams to figure out and draw out a game plan against them. And for Howard? Just hack him when opposing team is down in the last quarter. Houston only really have 2 good players in Harden and Howard. But both are not efficient. We should of gotten David Lee, instead of Howard or Asik. Paul George or Kimba Walker instead of Jeremy or PB. I'm not trying to talk down on this team but this is the truth. Unless Houston change the gameplan, ISO and hero ball harden will not win Houston a championship. Houston is currently 27th in the league in assists out of 30 teams. This tells everything.
The fact that you called Harden inefficient suggests that you have no idea about what you're talking about. I'm sorry bro cause I understand that you're trying to make a point but saying that Harden is inefficient makes your point moot IMO He's one of the most efficient players in the league...like top 3-5
I still think we can go 80-2 1 harden is the goat 2 dwert is superman 3 Beverly is a stud when healthy, way better than that other guy 4 hall of game coach.
I think Rockets will have more assists after 15 or 20 games. Assist is about team chemistry, and the construction of team chemistry is a long process, especially when adding a core player.
So to get to the ring, we trade Harden, Dwight, Asik and Beverley, and build around Chandler and Jeremy. Seems legit. Premiere FA destination fasho.
Other than Harden, who in the world did we have that might have prompted a team to even THINK about giving up a David Lee, Paul George or a Kemba Walker? I think we overrate our assets a lot of the time lol.
