You, sir, are absolutely right. Everything done, up to now, is in preparation to make something big happen in the very near future. Not only does this organization have the tools needed to form a more than exceptionally talented team in the near future, the front office did it in a very short amount of time and without having to sacrificing a winning record (Ex: Clippers and pre-LeBron Cavs). Yet, what can you expect from a troll who does not see the big picture?
Kyrie was taken No.1 in one of the weaker drafts. Not saying much but he won't immediately turn into Chris Paul.
Do you at least know Biyombo situation? Spanich club Fuenlabrada is demanding 4 mill $ from him. 1.2 mil is buy-out per contract and 2.8 mil for missed days in club (including the games). He left club without its permission and never came back. his contract is valid till 2014. Bobcats can pay only 0.5 mil. To sum up, he's pretty f***** up.
Just to get it out there, you're a god damn *******. I know, "that's Car Herrera's humor"...F*** that. You're a piss poor excuse for a human being.
Lowry/dragic/flynn Lee/bud Twill/morris Patterson Why would you trade these young guys (some of them have already proven they can play) for a team with one or two potential and other scrubs to go along with them. Lowry can turn into a star as can twill and ppat. We just have to give them time. ... notice I didn't say thabeet because he is a scrub!
I know it can be hard to resist, but it does no good to resort to name-calling. Folks here are going to disagree and that is unavoidable. Let's just all try to express it thoughtfully and factually if possible-- but even those are disputable usually. If you let your blood pressure go up because someone doesn't respect your team, you need more of a life.
One thing Houston has, is when we do land a stud he won't leave us high and dry. Houston is one of the best markets for basketball in the nation, we just need to land that stud.
The thing that makes us unique is we are a mystery to other teams, no one knows what are players can do. In any given nite our Rockets can kick teams asses! You gotta believe in them! We dont know which one will break out and be a star, thats why we are reluctant to give up pieces. I was up in the air on the trade and now im happy how it went through.
Why are you guys hating on him so much? I can think if two teams who have basically gone down this route of tanking to get better. One is the wizards and the other is the bobcats. Draft and high picks are the only way to compete for a championship it seems ( see Melo situation), short of Yao and t-Mac and Olajuwon and drexler coming throught the door in prime condition I can't see us competing. We need to do what OKC did since its been proven since rashard Lewis that no one wants to sign here
This thread as good as any to ask this question. The last couple of days I've had some sort of rectal itch. Do I have butt cancer?
I like Patterson a lot. He has potential. But, not taking Kawhi Leonard was a HUGE mistake. Marcus Morris needs to become a player in the mold of say ak47, but I'm not sure he has the physical tools to do so. Leonard on the other hand has upside. I am also not a fan of Kyle Lowry as a starter. I think his perfect role is as a sparkplug type player. Chase is Matt Bullard's brother from another mother. On the right team, I like Kevin Martin, he is a premier scorer in the league, but the fact that he doesn't play defense is a big strike against him. I like Donatas Motiejunas a lot as a player. I think he has some upside. I also think that t-will has the ability to be an excellent all-around player, but he has A LOT of self-destructive qualities that makes him a risk. The only true starter (a player without big flaws) that the rockets have is Patterson, in my opinion. The other guys, I think are better as 6th men with the exception of Martin and scola of course. Scola's problem is age, and Martin again is in the wrong situation in houston. He needs to be with a veteran team that plays defense.
Really? You'd rather us be stuck with the terrible, no-talent contracts the Pistons have? I wont even mention the Cavaliers.
